Go figure, keep hearing folks talk about their truck getting 16 or less MPG. My 2500 diesel is averaging 20 MPG

Our regular gas jumped from $4.19 this morning to $4.39 this afternoon. That's up 80 cents in 4 days. And one station is charging $4.44.

As of yesterday it will now cost close to $150 to fill up my pickup. Pennsylvania has the highest tax on diesel East of the Rockiesfuel3.10.PNG

If you price out coffee at your local " hot cup outlet "----You might find it to be ~ $20 / US gallon.-----Folks lining up every day.------Thing is you do not buy it in large quantities.

Think yourselves lucky over there in the US. We are about ÂŁ1.70 a litre for petrol that works out at about $9.78 a gallon !!!

Price went up again last night. It's now 2.00/L CA, thats 5.90/Gal in US dollars. Glad I switched over to a four stroke outboard from that old mercruiser 165 I had. That thing liked gas.....

🤦‍♂️

They are both 4 stroke engines and will both burn about 0.4#/hr/hp... You went from one 4 stroke to.... another 4 stroke.

Technically true but the Mercruiser was a 1978, carburetor engine that may have been 4 stroke, but was far from fuel efficient. plus the engine and outdrive itself added considerable more weight. I saw a noticeable difference in fuel efficiency with the new setup, very noticeable.

Non-ethanol 92 octane = $6 per gallon. Oregon City OR.
92 octane you can pump directly into your classic car/truck. 87 octane you can't. It's only legal for recreational and tools.

If I drive 15 miles one way our 92 rec is 4.89 as of today. In another month we will fill up 4 5gal containers for chainsaws, motorcycles, and boat. Fishing starts then and I only burn less than 10 gallons all year in the boat.

Average morning..........burn 20 - 25 gallons in the boat and another 15 gallons in the truck going too and from.

Running offshore is an easy 100 gallon a day and 25 gallons in the truck

Time to go back to accepting "donations" from guests again.

I’m in California and regular 87 octane cheapest is about $5.50/gallon and up. My truck was at about a quarter tank this morning. Cost me over $120 to fill it . At marinas regular currently is between $7 and $8 per gallon. Its insane.
