$4.39 this morning for 87 octane. Diesel here is $4.99, just passed the sign this morning. Went up $0.20 from Sat to Sun.

At that rate, I expect $6/gallon for 87 and $6.50 on the water for ethanol free unless things change quickly.

**This is in WNY....Buffalo area.
Diesel just went up another 20 cents at the truck stop about 4 miles up the road here in Central Pennsylvania. It is now $5.76 which mean about $140 to fill my pick up. The boy and I have been busy for week now with the business he now runs doing what ifs as this is the time of year when summer quotes and contracts go out. Though it only uses about 1500 gallons of fuel a year the biggest consumable is specialty chemicals and suppliers won't even give us quotes now, just spot prices. The youngest daughters delivery business is worse off as her contracts don't have a fuel charge adjustment. She is going to have to find out what it is like to run a business when she is not able to pay herself. Anybody that has had a small business has gone through that at one time and it is a good lesson for the future. I haven't even checked on off road diesel yet as I still have enough for my equipment for a short while.

Propaganda….they sell fuel by the Liter and in Russian Rubles…not to mention most vehicles are diesel.

Currently 1 Ruble is worth 0.0075 cents USD
I know, that's why it's converted to US dollars and gallons.

Just saw $1.76 CA / liter for diesel today.-------It amounts to telling the grandkids I won't be able to drive for 4 days to go and see them.------Might have to learn to overcome my resistance to going by Boeing 737.----Flying there by myself would be about 1/4 of the cost for diesel fuel alone.-----Thinking gasoline at marinas is going to be about $2.50/ liter or more this summer.-------They say there will be a 24' electric boat on the market soon.-----Roughly $300,000 US to get into that " money saving " product.
1.92/L here for reg self serve. Thats $5.37/ gal CA. Thats 4.12/gal american dollars.

I would say that 4,4 X1,92 = $8.44 CA / Imperial gallon. Or $ 7.29 CA / US gallon.---Or $5.60 US / US gallon.

Back in the day when folks had a " grade 6 or 8 and a farm education " everyone appeared to be treated fairly.------Now with university edumacations mankind has learned to screw everyone in sight without a kiss.

It's going to get much worse in a hurry. We just stopped purchasing any energy from Russia, oil and gas...
We're at $3.99/87 octane, diesel $4.79

I'm glad that I don't use much fuel with my Kingfisher. I only used about 4 gallons for the whole season last year. 🤪

I'm not worried about the boat fuel, my Merc 60 HP runs a long time on 5 gallons.
It's all the other stuff, $400/month for the house, $7/gal for vehicle fuel, not so good. Couple days ago it was $1.70/L X 3.78 = $6.42/US gal. I don't want to look today.

HOW much gas do you guys use in a year?
I figure about 85 hours of overtime pay will pay my increased fuel cost this year for vehicles, boat, mower, electric, home heating, and our vacation to Manitoba, if TruDope lets us in.

Been averaging 10 hours overtime a week this year, we're 10 weeks into the year already.
So its covered.
Hey, We're just back to the prices that Obama gave use in '08, as gas was $4.09 when I bought my trailblazer.

Don't whine, Get creative guys. Lots of ways to cut expenses or increase income to cover this relatively small increase.

For you guys with bigger boats and fuel bills to match... Sorry, can't help you.

I think that my fuel usage on the boat(s) is 400-500 gallons per year.

The boats generally cost $4-5K each year to own/operate/maintain. The extra cost of fuel will raise my cost about $500-$1,000.

I will probably frequent the marina gas less and do more re-fueling from regular gas stations to offset the cost.

As hard as it might be, let’s keep the politics out of this discussion…

Yesterday prices jumped $0.26 a gallon bringing the rise in price $0.70 in the last 5 days. When I went to bed last night it was $4.45 a gallon for regular 87 octane. Who knows what it is this morning?!?!?!

CNN, if you trust them, ran a story this morning on gas prices. They're expecting about $5+ by summer with prices expected to start dropping by Labor Day.

I might go through 2-3 tanks of gas a season. I fish mostly so its one spot to the next, stop & drift. Minimal usage in grand scheme of things. I fill up on land to save the $0.50/gal surcharge from filling up on the water.

What will kill me is the gas for the tow vehicle. My Ram gets 13mpg towing with a boat & load for the day. Unsure on the Durango as its still in break in period (no towing)....but would expect in the 13mpg range as that's pretty much typical given the load. **Previous tow vehicles, 2017 4Runner and 2019 Ram v6, were 13mpg so that's what I'm basing it off of.

So the trips to the local lakes may be shorter/closer to home as opposed to an hour long drive (or more).

$5 by summer? Totally believe it and heavy on the plus. Wouldn't doubt if it's $5 within a month or so.... We just cut off Russian oil, that will make the price jump in a hurry. Dropping by Labor Day, that I don't believe.... National avg is already $4.25, .08 higher than yesterday... Yet the oil companies are making record profits...

Prices have tripled in two years and only going up.
The solution is easy, just make more money boyos.

Or shop on line and have electric vehicle drop goods on your doorstep.------People are learning that shopping in person is too much work, takes a lot of time.
