We are in a drought in my area of PA. I’ve never seen the local reservoir as low as it is right now. A couple pictures of launch areas where the docks are high and dry. No rain in sight for next ten days.

I run a drinking water facility in central NJ that happens to have it's own pumped storage reservoir. This is the lowest it's been since it was constructed. We had ~4.5" of rain since July 23rd.... 1/3 normal and we are at 30 consecutive days with no rain fall at all. I'm loving it outside of work but at work its been hell. We try to only use reservoir in emergencies and well... here you go.

I'd say we're down about a foot from normal...maybe two. Hard to tell for sure but I can tell where normal water level is vs where we are right now.

I'm going off what I see in parts of the Erie Canal and local streams/rivers nearby.

Was out on another local lake today. About 20 miles from the one pictured above. Not as drastic for sure but low about two feet.

Absolutely beautiful day to be on the water. Like glass and the fish cooperated.

Another lake about 60 miles north of me. Looks like we “ might” get up to half inch of rain Sunday into Monday. Fingers crossed! We have upgraded or downgraded, depending how you look at it, from moderate to severe drought.

When it floods, we blame global warming, when we have a drought we blame it on global warming, when will we blame ED on global warning ??

Some crazies like starting fires. N J had no or little lightening to start all those fires.

My cousin has a cottage on the River in Clayton NY. He was telling me just this weekend his floating dock is sitting on bedrock. He had to get into the water to wrestle his Sylvan off his boat lift and he has no hope of getting it back on.

So...beyond low.

When a fire is reported as arson on TV it seems to draw more arsonists to start fires. Heart goes out to the 18 year old kid who got killed by a tree on the fire line. Those forests are still dangerous even after the fire goes out.
