So did inventory at work this morning.

This afternoon started working on the RV

Hacks at Lippert burned through the frame in a few places, then buggered more weld over it

Looks like Forest River did the same. 5 holes in a cluster, and a booger of weld in the middle.

Stuck bits of weld wire still stuck to the frame.

The coreplast belly pan was sagging. The wiring is just hanging everywhere under it, laying on the belt pan

Going to weld some studs and use P-clips and zip ties to clean up the wiring

Did have to make a relief cut in the frame to get the pucker out

Have the fish plates ready to weld. Cutting the 2x2 tubing to sister under the frame tomorrow

Found a bunch of what look like plasma cutter holes

Either way, the frame is straight and strengthened.

Back down the shifter rabbit hole.

found the aisin transmission factory parts I need to move the shifter forward almost 8"

any salvage yard hunters, if you see a MK 2 Toyota Supra (1981-1986) with a junk 5MGE trans and a good shifter, looking for the MA61 shifter assembly. that is the 18" shifter

Just do not want to pay the price listed on fleabay

Alternatively, I can use the 19" assembly (I think from the cressida), however also do not want to pay the price below

going back and forth with a few guys on controls at work with an enginerd with a sister company..... I suggested he change his strategy because it will lead to warranty in the field....

he defiantly asked "what do you know about controls on boats" I said.... I did the door controls on this.

So, the other day while consuming a cocktail or three...... my thoughts wandered......

since getting everything to fit in front of the firewall is challenging...... why not pair the LS4 with an Audi/Porsche 6-speed and turn it into a mid-engined vehicle

these were the inspirations:

So....... went down a rabbit hole...... laid out this..... and realize the motor would have the damper up my back side . so that wont work.
