Number 3 is messy, but it works great! I suspect its banned in CA since it works so well, lol.....cant be good for you!

So PRO TIP:

If you want your oil pressure gauge to work, attach the sending unit wire to the terminal on the gauge labeled with a large "S" :D

Solved that mystery

I also moved the shifter shaft back and forth on the drive....seemed to fix the clutch dog tinking noise when I rotated it slightly counter clockwise. I need to have someone watch the shift cable to tell me which way to adjust it while I wiggle it back and forth. May wait to fiddle with it till I have it on the muffs and running.

Splash isn't looking good the next few days. Out of town tomorrow, Friday 30 MPH winds, welcome to OK, lol.....not good on the little lake we will splash in. Then rain for the next 4 days or so 3 to 9 inches. Unless they change the forecast, it looks like a splash may happen mid to late next week.:blue:

Quick update:

I was able to put her back on the muffs yesterday. The water leak was fixed and the oil pressure gauge is working! :D

Bad news is it quickly got hot....or so the gauge said. I didn't think it was really getting hot, but I swapped out the thermostat today and ran it again. Same indication on the gauge. So I hooked up an el chepo gauge from the parts store. The thermostat is a 140 degree, ran it for about 10 minutes and never got the gauge to move off of the low peg at 130. I.m thinking I have the wrong sending unit, so I ordered another one from the parts store. I should be able to swap that out tomorrow, but the rain is coming back tomorrow

Its cold and rainy till mid next week....but I am satisfied that things are running correctly at this point, so she should get wet next week!

We finally had a warm day without rain the I could get away from the office. So She got wet after all this time! Good thing I like her after all this work....its the first time I have actually driven her! Overall everything went well I have a small water from the re-circulating pump but I already knew that. I did have quite a bit of blow by. but for now I am chalking that up to the rings not being seated yet. It got much better the longer we ran it. When I was looking around and I think we have a leak somewhere inside on the tilt trim system. That will be another winter project. But over all she ran great and handled nicely!

I'm voting for the "Real Teal Deal" as the 2018 Splash-of-the-Year. Well done and I have enjoyed the ride!

You should be wearing a huge smile from ear to ear. It looks amazing and knowing the work and efforts you put in to it, you should be extremely proud. :thumb: :first:
