GM I have been looking at something similar. I like this product because it comes in white, most of the others I have seen come only in black. I also need it for when I put the dash back in and around the pass through opening to the bow area.

Ha Arch, that is equally interesting. I didn't know they could be bought in white. Thanks for the reply. I may have to take a serious look at that. I happen to need about 16' to 20' feet of the stuff. Thanks you very much. :thumb:

What thickness are you putting it over GM? If you go with white, maybe we can split some up and save some cash. So far I haven't found this stuff by the foot, just the roll. I haven't measure what I need yet, but my guess is about 50' or so.

WOW 50 feet will be costly. I was probably needing 20'. Problem is they don't sell it that long on EBay. Or I haven't found it that long. But since I have to cut it to fit, I really need to measure more accurately so I can buy the amount I need without getting too much or too little. There are places that do sell by teh foot. But it does cost some. Between $1.50 to over $2 dollars a foot. 50 feet is going to get expensive.

I'll measure and get back with you.

Opps sorry I should have PMed GM to start with....I'm always in trouble! :D

I blew off fuggly tonight and wiped her down. Then wrapped her up like a Christmas present!

Hopefully I have time tomorrow night to spot prime her. After that blocking out and touching up the mud work as required. After that I will probally put on a full layer of primer, block it out and blow some paint! :D

Interesting to see it prepped for primer and pain. Looks really good.

I'm going back with the factory color mick. I thought about changing it, and I never came up with anything that I like. I think the teal color sort of suits the boat. I want to keep it fairly period correct, with a couple of tweaks. I don't think I will be putting some chrome back on, i think it looks better with out the front railing.....still haven't decided if I'm going to reuse the big trumpet horns. I'm kind of 50 50 on them, there cool, but I have really warmed up to it with out so much stuff bolted on the bow.

Looks great Arch. Don't you just love those 400' rolls of high density plastic? Super handy and cheap. I use them to cover everything before I drop my drop cloths. It works awsome when painting kitchens. The stuff just clings to the cabinets. I do like the period correct thing. I like the teal and always have on older boats. It really jumps out at you when it is on the water, better than most reds do in fact. Teal or red would be my choices just because they were the two most popular back in the day. I would lean towards the teal though. Good luck with the spraying and try not to blow off fuggly too often, she might get depressed. :)

Pat, she is already depressed, I forgot our anniversary :D

Just spot primed everything. Looks pretty good, the back deck still has a lot of fine tuning, but that is to be expected. The other gazillian small holes I pacthed will probably be ready after a little sanding.
