A couple of late season silvers here (shot this end of last season...sorry for tardiness). The boy nabbed his first pink this season too so of course we kept him all humped out and everything.

Hi everyone, Tom here and new to the forum. Far from new to Boating.
Was in the Coast Guard from 1973-77 active and till 1985 reserve.

Just purchased my first over 20' boat, A 22" Starcraft Islander to go Lake Superior Fishing in.

42" Bighead or Asian carp that was stocked in a farm pond to help clear muddy water. 10 lb test. What a fight. The farmer wanted them out of his pond and I snagged another, bigger one a week later that was released in his brothers pond. It was tired and swam on the surface for a while after the release. It looked like a shark w it's dorsal and tail cutting a V on the surface and caused the ducks in the pond to loudly haul duckbutt away from it.

7+ foot Idaho Sturgeon years ago. After the 30+ minute fight, and having the fish almost leave the deep hole, and also get hung up on the bottom 5 mins. my rod holding arm was too weak to lift a 12 oz. beer to my lips!! :facepalm: The guide said the fish would have been alot heavyer if it was'nt springtime, and I probably would'nt have landed it.

caught these 10 channels last thurs in 2 1/2 hrs. i was testing a new prop pitch then fished from 8pm till 10:30. had a couple get off and tossed back a couple 1 lbers. so it was vey active.

Nice fish, Bob! Where'd you catch it?

I grew up Minnesota so we used to fish for Northerns and Muskies all the time. Now I have to go to a few lakes that stock Tiger Muskies if I want to chase after that fight. There's no comparison between a 20lb Pike and a 20lb salmon. Pike are WAY stronger!

I caught that one off the dock at Peter's resort on Lake Minnewaska just south of Alexandria Mn. She was 42". We're going back this year in a couple weeks and I hope to get a bigger one. This year I'll have an advantage.....a boat:D Wish me luck!
