Thanks Guys! Can't wait to get her fishing...I get my trolling motor Thursday..we ordered a 4hp four stroke Nissan. Should be fine. Problem is it's still snowing here in Northern Idaho.

hi.new to the forum,and just got my first starcraft.its a 1969 arrow,which i got in trade.
its a great looking little boat and i hope to fix it up with my 14 year old son.unfortunatly it does have some hull issues.so i looked on the net and found this place.i got the motor running last week,but noticed some cracks on the hull that do not look too good.i am a fairly handy person and am hoping i can repair it and make it seaworthy.since i live in il on the chain o lakes,i really hope to get some use out of it.thanks mick

Regarding adding bow weight to get the nose down I just won this on fleaBay for $35.00 (no pump, just the bag). Will keep you posted.

Finally got it in and filled up as much as possible. I'm guessing 2/3 full...probably 170lbs +or-. Easier than toting the 3 sand bags in and out and cleaner too. The cooler (with drinks and snacks and a bag of ice in case I should happen to actually catch something) tucks in there nicely. The little table keeps it from roaming around but can be easily removed to get the cooler out or if more leg room is needed.

Got her out too! The Admiral and our two deckhands...err....Dachshunds had a great time. Moose (the one in the yellow life jacket) loves to fish but sure gives you the stinkeye if there ain't no action...and there wasn't. The other one, Gunner, is content to stay with whoever will hold him.


After a while Moose resigned himself to talking a nap in my lap which always invokes the automatic question and answer period between me and the Admiral: "Hey Mar!"...."yeah?"...."I gotta lap full of wiener"...."ohhh"....:facepalm:


She does pretty good when I get her trimmed out right....the boat....
