Hey guys,
I posted this in the Volvo forum but not getting much of any response. I've determined that my rusty pulleys on my 4.3l volvo are resulting in excessive belt wear and excessive dust in the engine compartment which will ultimately result in me having to rebuild the carb. So I'm addressing the pulleys.
I've sanded most of the heavy rust off and want to know if using the POR 15 product would be an issue on something like a pulley? I'm pretty sure its fine but don't want to do it and end up screwing myself in anyway with the operation of the pulleys and the belts, etc. My plan is to use the degreaser, metal prep, then 2 coats of the POR 15, then top coat with rustoleum enamel.
Opinions?
