If you like that, then the Wolf river is for you. Part of the same river system that empties into Green Bay.
About 50 miles SW of Green Bay in the town of Fremont.
Walleyes in March/April.
White bass in May/June.
It goes on for 25 miles, but is most crowded is the 4 miles in Fremont.
Here's an old photo, you can literally hit over a dozen boats with your lure.
Or hook into a sturgeon and have it tangle 50 lines in minutes.
And they used to let about 50 people fish off the bridge before they replaced it. You can literally fill buckets and coolers with those stinky white bass.

A tradition that goes back over a century.

Thieves cannot stand them did they take yours? I hope not.
Nope, didn't get mine. Fortunately I was going out of the local locked marina that is closed for the season but my brother works there and has a key. But 3 of the 6 public launches were hit, one twice as well as a few other places in the area. It was reported that a white van was involved. Last week a white van was given a "safety check" when 2 people were found sleeping in it at Penn State University (25 miles away). In the process of the safety check the officers looked into the back of the van and found a bunch of catalytic converters ... 6 of them were off of University vehicles. The launch ramps haven't been hit since. Hoping those were the culprits.

We got back on the water today. It's been since July of last year for the boy and myself, but nearly a year since my wife has been on the water.

The boy got the first fish, a pickerel. I caught up a short time later with the first bass of the year.

My wife got skunked, but I let her have a pic with my bass because it looks so much bigger when she holds it!

Air temp was cool early, but rose nicely and it was about 72 degrees when we started catching fish. The water temp ranged between 64 and 68 degrees.

Nice job there at least you got out there. It is so cold and the wind here is horrible so no go for me until the wind slows down I do not mind the cold if the wind is not blowing full force. Glad you guys got out looked like a nice day on the water...

We went fishing yesterday. It was a beautiful day and I caught a few; missed a few. Later in the day, my wife caught some too. The boy got skunked. 🦨 🤪

I was fishing the Atlantic this passed week ... Hilton Head area. I got skunked. Last day there scheduled a head boat to catch something. It turned around just out of the harbor ... water pump crapped out, no fishing. That was my luck!

The boy and I got back out there yesterday. The last couple of trips we've had were vexing due to boat issues. 😠

And yesterday was another vexing day. But at least this time, the problem happened after the boy caught something!

He asked my recommendation on what bass lure to use. I said that ya can't go wrong with a Senko. So, he tied one on.1.jpg

And just a few minutes later, this happened. He was happy. 2.jpg
