Hey guys we really need these pics resized to max 640 x 480. We're getting some complaints and it messes with my screen for sure. I'd do it, but there are too many . . . Thanks :)

25th GREAT pictures, glad to see everything is going well.

I am planning on going out tomorrow morning 7AM, launching from Salmon river, and heading down to hamburg cove / essex area. I'll take a bunch of pictures and post them.

If anyone else is going to be in the area PM me and I'll give you my cell number.

I might be out there Sunday. Trying to head down to Dock and Dine for lunch. Should be cruising up and down the river.

Plans aren't 100% due to restrictions at the marina I keep the boat at, but if all goes good Sunday, I want to do a river cruiser/raft up on Monday down in the Haddam Chester area.

I'm coming, GF isn't sure due to Grad School finals being right after this weekend.

I am going plus 3 on my boat. Going to be a crazy boating weekend for me. Bassakwards on Saturday and Ct river on Sunday. A great weekend that will require Monday off.

I have 1 other boat going with 3 on board and maybe a third with 2 but his Admeral wont commit to any thing untill that morning.

Hey ! Where's the excitement ??? where's the chatter ?? I've Been stuck fixing my truck ,but that that won't keep me from being there !! I've already conceded that my boat won't be pristine but I'll be there chilling !!


Oh BTW....Is there a marina/restuant/hotel etc near the cove that allows public use of restroom:redface: gf made me ask:rolleyes: peter

I know I am looking forward to the up coming event, I was going to go out on the boat on Sunday but came out to find a flat tire. Valve stem is rotting and was leaking air. Have to get a new one of those over the next few days.

Anyway I am not sure about a Marina / bathroom facilities exactly near hamburg cove, supposedly there is a store in the cove, but it's in the upper cove, and when I went down to the cove about a month ago didn't venture that far up. I do know that outside of the cove there are a few places.

Has anyone else been further up into the cove? What is everyones plans? Are what time are people putting in... what time do people want to meet up?

So long as everything works out and I'm there, my boats head works and can be used. I can have the holding tank emtied prior to this event also, so there would be no concerns. I will also stock up on the marine grade (read: $$) toilet paper. :D

Would rv toliet paper work? isnt it cheaper?

Not sure, but it seems a lot of the boat items carry over between the RV world, and other than a label it ends up being the same stuff. Basically it's just paper that breaks down easier than household stuff.

I was thinking of bringing 3-4 doz corn to grill (pluss other stuff) has any further discussion been kicked arround for the GTG?? peter

Edit.. i read back looks like we planned hotdogs and hamburgs.. whos got the grill..

I'm in the process of looking at the rod holder mounted propane grills. Also I would be at the cove Saturday into Sunday.

I am also looking into buying a small propane grill, but not sure yet, it's not like I have that big of a boat either... But I do have a nice place on the bow where I could set it... just thoughts at the moment.

Off topic, but I saw in a boating magazine a couple months back a meal totally prepared with the heat of your engine... wouldn't work for me (outboard), but the article was like, wrap everything in tinfoil place it on your engine manifolds and you can have hot baked potatoes when you get where your going. Pretty funny I thought, not sure I would do it even if I had the inboard... but still...

So here is my plan, I am probably going to try and be at the launch (Salmon River) around 8AM. Usually takes me 30 minutes to move everything out of the car to the boat and launch. On the water by 8:30. At hamburg cove around 9:00 - 9:30 depending on how fast we go.

25th, so you are going to be staying overnight, in the cove? Have you been to the "upper" part of the cove? I read online someplace that their is a marina / store up there, but it seemed pretty shallow going up that far the last time I was in there...

I vaguely remember you saying something about a friend who had a mooring in there... are you hooking up to that?

As for food, are there things people already know they are bringing, I would be happy to bring some stuff, that we might be missing.
