I had a pair of skis and tow rope in the ski locker. I also had a tube, tow rope and pump with me. Guess I should have yelled down your way. People up at my end didn't seem interested when I mentioned it.

Re: New England Get Together

One of my guests had actually brought skis to my house in the AM and had intentions of trying them out off the back of my boat. Had we known we probably would have set it up.

We ended up leaving when we did due to one of my guests dogs needing to be let out. Next time I plan to stay out longer!!

Re: New England Get Together

After hitting the sand bar last weekend, even though there was no evidence of problems, I was worried about the impeller on my OB. I picked up rebuild kit today and dropped the lower unit to replace it. It was kind of a waste of time and effort. The old impeller looked totally fine. I installed the new kit regardless. I guess it is insurance and now I don't have to worry for the reset of the season.

I did notice some excessive sway driving back for CT last week so I checked out the trailer. Good thing. One of my wheel bearing was shot. They were fine at the start of the season when I checked them out so maybe I messed up reassembling them. End result was I replaced both sides and now I am ready for my trip to Canada in 2 weeks. Wouldn't want to lose a wheel on the way there or back.

Sounds like a great idea! Got a new boat since last year, Four Winns 211 Liberator w/ 350 and thru-hull exhaust. Looking forward to it!

How about somewhere on Narragansett Bay, Rhode Island or Buzzards Bay, Massachusetts?

I would be down for anywhere in New England. I have boated out of point judith, and while that isn't technically Narragansett Bay, it was a great place to boat!

No but just curious if you're on that end of the sakonnet river. sakonnet river would be a good place but I think for highway access purposes, maybe Greenwich Bay would be better because you can access it right off of Rt. 95.

Re: New England Get Together

I'm just wondering where everybody would be coming from. If most people find Rt. 95 convenient, I'm thinking of Greenwich Bay which is part of Narragansett Bay. There are a few access points just a few miles off of Rt. 95 in Warwick and East Greenwich. I wouldn't mind the Sakonnet River (which is actually a strait and not a river) because it is typically a very calm water but I guess it would depend upon where people are coming from as it would take a little more time to get to it (I think) for most people.
