Sure doesn't seem like it's been a year already, Blue. When finish her are you going to try for a job at the SC factory? Go teach them a thing or two. :D

Time flies GaB! This time last year I was stranded in Pennsylvania with busted brake lines and a snow-storm rollin' in.

Please apply to work in the current production stream, don't let them bury you in the factory refurb/retrofit program.

My luck i'd get stuck smearin' PB on stringers.

with all the posts you have...it seems like more than a year , you've been here!!!

keep up the contact

that sees like a good price for the axel

I have bought several over the years ONLINE.

Trailer Parts Superstore - Shopping Index

I have bought from these guys.... I recommend trailer tires at 15", OR of a size ta you have on another trailer in your possession already

the angle bracket is sweet, make it very easy to adjust the pivot point.....

bob

Thanks Bob! You should swing across the huddy and check out the trailer place in Montgomery. they also do inspections which I need....once I have a trailer that would pass! I'll definitely check out that link...I'm going to need to buy my slipper springs once the undercarriages show-up.

great looking progress BF! Keep er up

Thanks JV! same to you!

CONGRATS BLUEFIN just think where she is gonna be in another year.

Thanks Sig!! Just hope that I get a full 12mos to work on it...This is shaping-up to be a really nutty year.

I forgot all about the rolling home adventure. Or should I say the sitting on the side of the road adventure.

Congrats on the 1 year, much better to be in a warm shop with a cold beer planning your next move than sitting on the side of the road with a basket case SC broke down.

how do you know when you have good friends?

  • When they spend their vacation helping you rivet....and bring beer (Thanks Dennis!)
  • When they call you up to help rivet...and Bring beer (Thanks Ken!)
  • When they text you a photo of the 4x8 Sheets of foam board they picked-up for your boat (Thanks Val!)

^^ Val just finished restoring that bomb-proof SN CC.

Good friends you bet, can never have enough. But usually having good friends means you are one as well.

Yeah wow what's your secret? I have to have a big can or suds and a frosty mug on hand as a lure.

Oh boy I hate that foam, it just might be one rung lower than trailer work...

:D

The allure of our annual trip to fish a nasty river ...during flood stage ...at night ...and seeing one of those pool-cues doubled-over and line screaming off of those giant Penns!

Hey Fellas, Quick update on the progress.

Rivet & 5200 were-a-flyin'

this to address a tiny stress crack that I noticed under a rivet head:

addressing those corrosion holes...with inside & outside patches:

and the bow ribs are in place:

Re: My First StarCraft; 1975 18' SuperSport

The wallet was a-buyin'

and foam board is a-pilin':

^^^^ 4x4'x8'x2" and 2x4'x8'x1" (26.7 ft[SUP]3[/SUP])should be enough :D

The only riveting that remains is the spray rail patch & 1 hole where the bow-rib meets the last latitudinal rib; I'm going to have to fill it with JB & apply an external patch...no biggie :D

Thanks for stoppin' by guys! :yo:

Really nice job on the patching BF, you have definitely set a high standard for bringing a hull back from the dead. Trailer works sucks, but just like changing diapers it has to be done.

Thanks guys!

I'll tell ya what...I'll happily do your trailer work if you do my painting. (EDIT: As long as trailer work doesn't involve painting )

I'm running out of stuff to fix...so my demons are waiting for me right around the corner
