Kevin, You can not be doing things like that, you have to use that boat at Crystal River in a couple weeks. Man sorry to hear that, I can not imagine your thoughts when that happened, at least you think the damage is fairly minor. Sure glad to hear that no one was injured, get out the touch up paint and cover the scars.

CBK - First of all...James Bond used GLASTRONS in "Live and Let Die" in the famous chase scene in the Bayou that had boats going over grass....

Secondly - normally one would expect to see such antics from the "SS" crew - not the normally upscale "Holiday" crowd!

Third - What the heck happened? For the chains to fail something else failed first....or did you leave it up to your "SS" owner brother-in-law to hook it up and you still can't figure out what happened....

Did this make the "Stupid Human Tricks" thread yet?

Hey Kev, you scared me so bad I went on Craigslist right after I saw what happened. I found a 78 Holiday 3 miles from me for $700. I figure we could talk him down to $500.

I could drive it south to..... I don't know. Maybe Southern Ohio or Kentucky. Someone else could transport her to.....North Georgia. And Souther and Souther she goes.

Detroit Craigslist if you need it. It's a Holiday I/O and looks pretty clean.

I hope you don't need it by the way.

PS; Starcrafter65, the SS comment was just hurtful. Just plain hurtful.

WOW! That was a close call, KEV. Glad no one was hurt. One good thing you can be thankful for is, that it was a Starcraft, anyone of those 'glass boats and u would have been picking it up with a front end loader! Hope the damage was minimal and you are back on the water real soon.

All's well that ends well. No one got hurt. That's one tough boat.

She's so bouyant that she even floats especially well on land. You also got some good distance on that toss so there is another positive. If she launched after the trailer hit dirt then the hull should be ok as well.

I have a criminal mind so the question is now how to abuse this. Does insurance cover the damage? If they write it off maybe you can buy it back or will they give you full replacement value

I know I'm late to this party, but HOLY COW, CBK! I'll bet your still shuddering bad thinking what if that boat went left! How did the boat get off the trailer? Did the bow and transom eyes tear out?
