MBS (Multiple Boat Syndrome) is almost as good as crushing a glasser for extra points, OI. You are now certifiable, oops, I mean a certified member. :D You have a good looking Islander and Lund in your driveway.

What year/length is the Islander an what have you done to her so far? She looks nice.

I'm kidding man! (or am I?) Ripping into the Lund 1st would give you lots of ideas on how to restore the Islander...you know, like where to put the batteries, etc.

What's interesting about the Islander is the side rubrail. I thought they stopped adding them in the mid/late 70's.

Two awesome boats.

Thanks GA. It's a 77' with a 120 inline 4. So far I have most of the interior out. I'm pulling up the floor. The PO put in a 3/4" treated plywood floor that's water logged and all warped. The motor is out and mostly rebuilt and being assembled in my basement. I'll get more pics up of the rebuild soon. Going all the way on this boat. Want to make it new again. I just love old islanders. Bye the way, my best friend lives on lake Hartwell in GA. Was there a few months ago striper fishing with him. That's where this islander will end up. The wife and I going to move there in a few years.
Oh, and it's a 22 1/2 foot.

I haven't been up to Hartwell, mainly boat on Lake Lanier and Allatoona closer to Atlanta. Plenty of good stripers down here and the water doesn't get hard. :D

You are in man, Those are two Beautiful boats about the only thing I would get rid of my Starcraft for is that Lund.

Good luck with the Islander I seriously hope the floors that were put down were the old style PT ply otherwise you are in for a real mess.

It has a lap strake hull as well as the side rubrails. She must be an older model that was redone in the late 80's colors.
What does she have for propulsion, You have added just enough pictures to raise our curiosity. The HIN should be able to tell you what year she is, upper starboard side of the transom.

Yea, I kind of bleed green and gold. I use the lund for Lake Michigan. I'm a huge salmon junkie. I love the Lund, but out on the big pond it can get a little dicy with a 15" transom height. That's what brought the Islander into the picture. That and the Admiral wanted a little more privacy when nature calls. She's my boat driver when I'm trolling. Thank you to all of you for the warm welcome into the club. I only hope I can compete with the likes of Grandad, Jas, and the liquid limo. You guys have been my inspiration to get this old barge project going. And MANY thanks to Bondo and the late Don.S on the mechanical side. They have both helped me a great deal already.

Listen, couple quick things about being part of the Starmada:

#1 We have to have photos of what you've got going on. Otherwise, the angry mob gathers, heads to your place, and runs an old fashioned beat down. It's really not that bad, little blood is all we require, not a biggie. Afterward we usually have a nice BBQ, everybody brings a dish to pass, fun stuff!

#2 Thursday nights we meet at the "Starcraft Hanger" for cigars and cookies. It's a bit of a drive to get there, but it's worth it, we have a great time:joyous:

#3 If you have any fondness towards glassers you might just want to keep that in the closet round here:deadhorse:

Maybe we'll cross paths out by Manitou Island this summer?

Lets see here, an old Islander that looks new on the outside and a Lund that also looks new. Guys I think he's feeding in a different part of the water column than the rest of us mud suckers. :confused: :disturbed:

Welcome aboard and ya know we could use some pics of the inside of your "old Islander" that looks new. :D
