Baseboard done and in place, door trim done and in place, 2nd coat of the shiny stuff on the bar top. 3rd coat tomorrow and so on for a while. Then clean all the dust and crap out and start moving all the bells and whistles in place. The light is at the end of the tunnel and it's getting bigger.
Popcorn anyone ???

Re: Latest photos from new home "Pub"

Well this weekend got the trailer ready for the camping season, pulled the old boat on to the driveway to prepare it for selling. Picked up a couple of barrels this morning and after cleaning them up some got the first coat of shiny stuff in place on one of them also started putting some of our "stuff" in the pub. Drained the barrels of their remnants and did some "home filtering" They are both ex bourbon whiskey barrels and the 40 oz or so we got is stronger than heck and now decanted. Should be 8 photos posted (or after a sip or 2 of that it looks more like 16) 3 more in next post.

We are on the south side of lake St Clair. No issues to date here, however we have a strong sump pump and back up pump and power if necessary. Hopefully we will never need them. Agree though. Insurance could never compensate for a loss on this.

Re: Latest photos from new home "Pub"

it felt like it was about 5 degrees centigrade on the water. lots of deadheads, and a floating tire, very treacherous for props.
saw four ships, and about 30 boats.
water temp was in the mid 40s farenheight, but the water was like glass, and the smell, forgot how good it smells being on the water
i did get a good base tan started though .

Re: Latest photos from new home "Pub"

Picked up a bar height table and 2 chairs last weekend. 1st barrel is in place but will have a couple of regular bar stools next to it. 2nd barrel coming soon. Under bar multi colour lights in place. Really cool. Lights in multiple colours and has a flash, strobe, "on" and fade function all by remote control. The official "Drunken Skunk" sign is on the wall as well. The kitchen type table and 4 chairs will soon be history and replaced with something more suitable. Modifications in process to the "Miller" pump and will be added when completed. Won't be long now !!!!!
