In March of 2018, we had a Barred Owl visit us on our deck. He hung out for nearly 4 hours watching for mice and chipmunks around our bird feeder. I took several good pics (I think anyway). First one was taken from inside through the door. Took others when he (or she) perched in trees around the deck.

How can anyone not like Owls? When I used to hunt deer, I had one sitting right above my head in my stand one morning, that I didn't know about at the time. And then he made his hooting call and nearly scared me out of the stand. Amazingly loud call, that's for sure... But watching them, they can easily turn their heads more then 180 degrees. You think they would break their necks when you watch them look backwards.

I think I've seen that very picture on a Youtube video about funny animals... Yes, Owls can turn their heads upside down. Oh that hurts just looking at it.

i mentioned here awhile back that the boys are littermates and they often times sleep like they are still in there. This is typical, and they 'spoon' alot as well.

And when they heard me

also note they have (one of two) perfectly good, custom made dog bed right behind them, so they choose to sleep on the furniture.

forgot to note that the pics were about 30 minutes after Fred worked the plate of fresh made dog treats off the counter. He is short but he is long as we are finding out. Kinda like having a toddler. Been a minute since I've had to worry about all that.

Bentley hates cats except for alley cat got her at 6 weeks old. Turbo is his own guy they don’t mess with him.

When we first got turbo his name was shellie the granddaughter named him. She could hold him in her hands she was three now 15. Turbo is 80# now he will come running full sprint when he sees you with his dinner plate in hand or you tap on it.
people that had him did not want him where going to just let he go in the desert he was to little to survive so we got him.Africa spur tortoise
