How can anyone not like Owls? When I used to hunt deer, I had one sitting right above my head in my stand one morning, that I didn't know about at the time. And then he made his hooting call and nearly scared me out of the stand. Amazingly loud call, that's for sure... But watching them, they can easily turn their heads more then 180 degrees. You think they would break their necks when you watch them look backwards. In March of 2018, we had a Barred Owl visit us on our deck. He hung out for nearly 4 hours watching for mice and chipmunks around our bird feeder. I took several good pics (I think anyway). First one was taken from inside through the door. Took others when he (or she) perched in trees around the deck.
I think I've seen that very picture on a Youtube video about funny animals... Yes, Owls can turn their heads upside down. Oh that hurts just looking at it.agree on the appreciation for owls
this is one of my screen savers. not sure where I grabbed this pic from (somewhere on the interweb)

Still working thru the cat issue(s).Here’s a pic of my lab Sprig on full alert during a duck hunt. The other is is pic of Sprig and his best friend our cat named Copper.
I hope she's bouncing the sun back up our way. Although I believe today's sun will be around three seconds longer than yesterday.Admiral and I went out this afternoon to enjoy a nice spring sunset. Also caught a few Whiting (Sillago vitiate)...
She suggested I take a photo, so I did. Just the one, and no photoshop here... Enjoy...

Ah well, the furniture is more comfy. Cushier.also note they have (one of two) perfectly good, custom made dog bed right behind them, so they choose to sleep on the furniture.
