Well this is ky. it went to 50. I took the blue snow gables off the boathouse. And it started snowing LOL. I cleaned the oil out of the bilge from the last engines final voyage. I had sanded all over putting in the depth gauge. I panted those spots. Then I put the battery in the tractor and fired it up see how it did. It is fine same as last year.

Facebook just let me know it is my boats second anniversary with me. Back when I was Naive and thought I would be boating all that summer. Wasn't I cute. Still working on it.

See it had several eco systems back then. One in the bow cover of water and moss and ice. 2 in the cockpit cover. And several inside I still remember poking the bilge drain out and it took half the day to finish draining.

Week later joined here found out it was a POS and the demolition began LOL.

Happy Anniversary!!

I remember when you began, the transformation is amazing.

I'm sure you and your family will enjoy the boat for years to come.

BTW, how has your brother made out with his Baja?

Thank You.

He went through major changes on his. His trailer was wasted. Little welding and painting it is good. He bought the same sewing machine I did . new interior. He had graphics made for it. SST emblems. He put new gauges in it. He just bought tubes and jackets ropes you know the drill. Cover came yesterday this was my texted shot.He is going to splash as soon as something is open to get it in the water.

I am still watching mud dry here. I made a power port set up while I am waiting. It is under the throttle in the front of the cubby hole next to the starboard seat. Cig lighter and 2 USB ports. Run to a toggle on the dash.

Got to have something to do. Muddy and cold out there.

A more in depth update with boat porn.

I went to my brothers he had my port Oh Jesus rail. I picked that up. And got some boat porn of inside his boat. He made the gauge panel and put all new gauges with a GPS speedo. In the cabin there is a TV I forgot to snap a pic of. Seat picture bites. He had the SST and various graphics made to match his chargers colors. It is really turning out to be a nice boat.

He was starting to DA the new gel coat on the rear seat. Before buffing it out. It is essentially done now.

First the pic of my boats hand rail. I mentioned to him I was going to buy one on E Bay for 65 bucks. He said what does it look like I think I got it. It was in a box of boats parts.

After that was his boat.

LOL and when I was processing the pics I saw this. Here is the tidy bowel boat's position in life as seen from my lazyboy between my feet.

Got the grab rail fixed and on. The screw on the panel side was stripped. It is underneath so i drilled it out and used a stainless screw. Better than new. Made a run for 5 bucks worth of stainless screws. Once I figured out what was originally in there.

Mud is still dryin. LOL and it is supposed to rain tonight again. I got this years tags I got to put on it to. I am just going to go through the drama and peel it off every year to do the new one.

You can tell it is warming up here. I am in the boat everyday tinkerin with something now.

I am getting a new roof and gutters so I am all over the place doing things. It is still a swamp in the back yard. So I cant move the boat anyway.

But i aint happy unless i fool with the barge a little bit. Today's adventure I couldn't find the scrap distributor. I was going to use it to prime the motor. So I made a prime tool from a long extension. I run it till the rockers arms were full. We won't have dry starts here. I put the zinc additive in the oil. It is full. I primed it and it went down a quart.

I ended cleaning the valve cover so i could put the new gasket on it. I will tinker with that tomorrow maybe. The roofing guys be here in the morning.

LOL roofing guys got pulled over had the truck and trailer with supplies towed. and rain all weekend. So this is put off till sunday with luck.

I been looking see what my boats oil capacity is. I as usual found the oddball motor. all the charts say 4 quarts or 5 quarts. but it is sitting level on the cherry picker I let it sit all night. 5 3/4 quarts and after priming it is just a hair low, looking like 6 quarts to change it to me with the huge filter I got on there.

Well back to gaskets.

You will loose a lot of oil filling all the channels, rockers until everything is coated with oil. My filter and offset lines needed primed. Even the 4.3 says 4.5qt but I think I I had a good 6qt in it until my dipstick showed full

Sorry about the roofing problems ! But progress on the boat is a good offset to that ..

Thank you. It is okay. My roof don't leak and they hadn't started yet. I talked to his son he said maybe sun now.

I got the valve cover and side covers on with new gaskets. Got the distributor in and set it will start. It only going to be a few degrees off. I will take a timing light to it once it fires. It is ready to go in now.

It is supposed to thunderstorm the next couple days. Ground is getting better. more solid now. Even with the rains. it see saws back and forth but each time it is getting harder. LOL if I had flowers in already front 2 gardens could actually use water. But they are covered for the most part.

It is getting closer. It was actually 70 today rode in the truck with the windows down and sunroof open.

Finally roofers came. Now once this is done I can do more important marine things.

It rained sideways last night. I was all in the boat today making sure it was dry. It was.

Well the stressful part is over. New wood new felt new shingles. Before it rained. I paid for this part of the tab. Next gutterboards and gutters and downspouts. Then the tree trimmed back.

Then I will be done with what I was extorted into doing. I was given orders no more boat related stuff till we got a roof. Well we do now i am getting a steel carport for the boat. Add a wall at a time for a garage. And i am shopping a new full cover. I like the sunbrella one.

Pics or it didn't happen. Oh kcassels I am good with the weather I grew up here. It is coming. I am so tickled I am so far along I can not work my butt off on the boat. And it is ready whenever the river and weather is. hour or 2 motor in another day outdrive on. One day to paint the trailer and one to buff her up.

See guys that are in the demo and rebuild stage this is what you headed for. Just keep your chins up it coming. I remember being in the mist of the wow it never gonna be done moments. It gets better and it is worth it.

I will be working on both my towmaters here in a minute. I got the tahoe ready it can pull all summer now if need be. Next week I getting oil pan valve covers and exhaust for the durango the preferred tow vehicle.

See there a method for my madness. Catch all my honey do list for the admiral. So when it is nice no complaints when me and the boy disappear fishing. EEEEE see the plan unfolding.

Ahhh nothing like a new roof to brighten your spirits!
Looks great ! And the best thing is not having to drive a single roof nail ! ;)
