Well I been doing stereo wiring all morning. Soldering the ends that came loose. I found service manuals for both my stereo and amp. It has a sony explode head unit and a 780watt kenwood amp. Wow my ears are bleeding.

It may not make it go in the water faster but it was fun. Clean doing clean work and the results I am amazed no one called the cops LOL. I am liking this boat more and more everyday.

I actually cleaned all the tools and put them away. That is a landmark.

I know i been slacking on the boat porn. I took a couple videos of it running. I still tuning and adjusting. I will probably re adjust the valves after it runs a few more times.

I got the alt saved in e bay. 105 amp job. I found the temp sensor. Tomorrow make the measurements and order the parts. I can get the alt in a week it says. Temp sender about the same.

Measure the alt be sure. Measure the temp sender there are 2 sizes. Measure the hitch to receiver pin.

So new alt, temp sensor, hitch to receiver lock. Lock for trailer. And the prop lock. Any ol tach will do in a pinch. I will look for one over the night and order one buy one local I don't care. And I got to measure the bunkers for new carpet. Order that while i am foolin with buyin stuff.

I went this far need new bunkers and paint on the trailer.

I will use the one from captnewbie if it is good. If not i saw the manufacturer will repair them and I will send the one I get from him to be fixed. In the mean time the mini tach will have to do.

Speedo in the boat the wishometer works. I got the GPS speedo in the phone app. I tried it and checked it it works.

We getting real close here I think.

Well I been just driving around all day throwing money out the window.

I got the 105 amp alt ordered. The temp sender. I got a stingray coming. Couldn't help it my buddy says they are the whip keeping the bow down taking off.

I got the prop lock and hitch lock trailer lock.

I got a new fire extinguisher. Same tach I got in my van. Must be a mercruiser tach. I got the throwable floatation device and some rope to haul them back to the boat when they grab it. So i should be all legal like now.

I got in the boat today and it seemed different. Then it dawned on me. For the first time since i owned it. It would actually go down the river till the battery died under its own power.

Tach in working correctly now. Only gauge missing is temp. Waiting on the sender.

Got a pic of the safety junk ropes anchors and all the junk going into the boat. And the tach installed.

I set the timing with the timing light. The cam likes a little more timing than a stock motor. But is is backed off a bunch from when I set it by ear. Got the idle at 750 where it is supposed to be. I run it up to almost 5 grand just to hear what she sounds like. She is a healthy girl loving life.

Soon as my buddy gets up. Sleeping his life away he is. I want to go get the wood for the bunkers start shaping them up. And get new lag bolts.

Need to put a charger on the battery. it is down a little now.

Looks awesome! Man I hate how much room safety gear takes on a boat lol... But wouldn't go out without it!

Just an FYI, not sure what the spec is on idle on your boat, but take some tools with you for when you splash it... I believe the idle is supposed to be set while in gear in the water with load on the prop. I recall my stingray idled about 950 out of the water, but right on the money when in gear in the water.

Everything i see is 750 for idle. It idles faster in gear. The throttle mechanism bumps it up in both forward and reverse. I will bring something for it tho.

yep it idles around 900 to 1k out of water, in water it drops down dropped in gear it went to 600 -700 best to adjust in gear in water and you will be set same thing with shift linkage.

I got the bunkers cut today. They are waiting for the carpet now.

I notoced looking in from the back one seat wasnt level. I shimmed the seat track.

I cleaned the wiring near the battery up and tied it all off where it should be since it is obvious it is going to run now.

I fought with the exhaust boot a couple hours. I finally got it on.

I got the switched power run from the ignition to the rear of the boat for the alt. Temp sender came I got that in now that gauge works. The receiver locks came.

What ever is going on with the generator it is killing the battery when you turn the ignition on. I got the battery charger on it it is reading 14.4 volts turn the key on and the generator is shunting the power till the battery reads 12.2 volts. Bad bad that is a dead battery. Oh well it be fixed soon.

I told the admiral the boat is quickly approaching the point where there is nothing else to do.

Both the alt and bunker carpet are due by friday tracking is saying tomorrow. The stingray is due by tues next week.

I went and got Lag bolts this morning and more staples. That was the right call the bunker carpet came before I got home.

So I got the bunkers made and on. Out of 18 bolts 8 were missing and 2 snapped off coming out. So I am thinking it was due.

Alternator is out for delivery so it will be here tonight some time.
