Hey Guys/Gals,

Well, I found out why my neighbor disconnected the VRO Warning Horn. One of the original o-rings in the VRO Pump deteriorated and he could not find a replacement o-ring so he went to the store and bought an o-ring but it was a little larger than the factory one. So he says that the larger o-ring makes the actuator stick, and he believes that is the reason the alarm sounds constant...

He tried to buy just the o-ring but he was told that he could only purchase the complete VRO Pump...

So, I guess my question is, could this really be the reason for the alarm and is it possible to just buy the correct o-ring?

Thanks

PS- It is getting oil and the engine runs flawless, I have a video but I am not sure how to upload it.

You might post the model number for the motor. Maybe someone has a source/spec for the o-ring

Sorry, I did not realize it was basically the same thing. Can you please delete this entire thread as it is confusing me now.

They sell a rebuild kit for the VRO and it is time consuming and not worth the labor to build it, install it and test it, so no that does not surprise me.
