Q22, You are 100% that I am not objective on this matter. My opinion is much based on my experience and the results and consequences of what I saw and lived. I knew many who were successful in dodging the draft especially those with money.<br /><br />By the way I was a dodger for 3 years while attending college, had a brainfart and quit and joined USMC. Terrible mistake at least for me.<br /><br />But again you are right on the objectiveness of my opinion and I may put to much weight on the lives of young soldiers against what I see as an unwinnable war. Regardless of what we do, when we leave there will be civil war and the winning party in Iraq will go to killing the others just like Saddam.<br /><br />On this one, I would love to be proved wrong (not first time) and the war could be won and Democracy and Freedom would flourish, I just do not see it.<br /><br />By the way, no question my opinions are warped from my bad experiences in the late 60's and early 70's. thanks for listenting tho.

I'm sorry about the stats on military service. They were provided by a friend and, frankly, I'm not certain how accurate or "selective" they might be. It sure stirred up people's interest, though, didn't it?

Okay, then tell me who can verify ever seeing Bush in Alabama?<br /><br />I have two brother that were in the Marines and they both can't figure out why if Bush did serve in Alabama that no one can verify seeing him. They went on to say when you're stationed somewhere you make friends and go out for drinks and dinner with your comrades. Still, no one can remember as much as having a cup of coffee with Bush in Alabama.<br /><br />The bottom line this guy is nothing but punk born on third base and he struts around like he hit a triple. If he didn't have the same name as his father and born in a politically connected family, he wouldn't have been elected for dog catcher.

Come on dog, don't you think if you were young George's good friend down in Alabama you would claim it. No one knowing him is plain nonsense unless he was not there.<br /><br />Also, if you had been there, you would know one day in a river boat in VN is worth a million days of service in the guard in Austin.<br /><br />You do make one good point that young George served his county better as no one has attacked Austin.<br /><br />I do not know if Kerry would have been better or worse but without a doubt his service was a much more risky matter and not a draft dodger.

Txs, you were in Vietnam yourself, if I correctly recall something you posted. Why do you defend a man who came back from Vietnam and said you had taken part in war crimes and atrocities? He said you burned villages and murdered women and children. He did everything he could to make sure you were spat upon when you returned. He made sure that you, and others who sacrificed their lives, made sacrifices in vain.<br /><br />Were it me, I would want to personally destroy him like the vermin he is.
