We're pretty sure we heard more noises under the house just minutes after my last post. Notified my buddy that I may need to borrow his trap again. :mmph:

We'd blocked the access off last night after capturing the possum, so it's possible that a second one was already under there. And we'd heard those fighting sounds last week.

Dangit all. But we're now more experienced and know that chicken bones are great bait.

Got partial pix of a tabby cat last night. It was only 3-5' from the camera. No wonder I wasn't getting possum pix with the cam 30' - 40' away! With the slow trigger speed and reset time of this cam, things have to be "just right" in order to capture images.

Reset the cam for tonight... put it in movie mode. Might get lucky and get some video. Haven't heard any sounds under the house tonight so maybe that possum was the only critter giving us problems.

On the health side, I'm doing better with the med change! GCA symptoms are essentially gone. Still have blurry vision in my right eye but it seems to come and go. Based on lack of other symptoms, the blurriness is likely caused by the med and not the GCA.

Weather is great and I hope to get landscape/yardwork done this week. Been fighting off a cold too, but am winning that battle as well! :thumb:

Set up the game cam in video mode last night. Nothing showed up and no video was captured. Didn't hear any noises last night either. Will try again tonight.

Be happy you got nothing on the video, it could have been something bad like a video of Skunk Ape prowling around your place.

No new pix overnight, no noises under the house and the breech was sealed. At this point we'll consider the intrusion situation ended. Will now permanently repair the breech. Next item please!

The only boat info I have is that we re-registered the Kingfisher today and I got to put the new stickers on! :noidea:

Point that game camera away from the Kingfisher enclosure and walk around the yard a bit to trigger it. You never know what might show up. You could name it Chupacabra.

Indeed! This afternoon I moved it to the front yard tree island, overlooking the birdbath water feature. Hoping to get some owls stopping by for a drink or something. :D

Lets hope you don't see any of those hoodie wearing Jawa types sneaking around stealing stuff.

Checked out the Chassahowitzka River today for another iboats member. Shallow!!

Will definitely not return there until after Phase 2 is completed on the Kingfisher and the 50HP Mercury with a jack plate is installed. Gotta be able to run much shallower and on plane! Can't do that now. Actually banged the bottom with my 8HP Johnson this afternoon and dinged up the prop a little.

And I also learned that the Eagle Z-5000 LCG Recorder that came with the boat doesn't work. :blue: It powers on and acts like it's working but doesn't register the actual depth. Guess the transducer is kaflooey. Will see what Santa has to say about that! :D

We caught a bunch of undersized Mangrove Snapper but no keepers. Spotted a trio of Manatees as well! :joyous:

Nice place! Chaz River2.jpg

Knee deep on an Egret... Shallow water all the way across the river, like a foot deep or less! Chaz River19.jpg

Yup! It was a beautiful day for sure. About 75 degrees, low humidity and sunshine. Perfectamundo!

The little Kingfisher performed perfectly once again. Still remains completely dry inside and even though it's been 2 months since we last went fishing, the Johnson fired right up with the 3rd pull of the starting rope! Good stuff. :)

+1 on the Manatee, around here the closest thing to one of those wears a one piece consisting of 5 yards of fabric.
