It's just sitting out there over the Bahamas, 180 miles from here going
.. <br /><br />There are two high pressure areas (one to the north, and one to the south) that are making the storm sit stationary and causing it to degrade in strength, down to 105 mph winds.. More than anything, if it comes ashore here, this will be a very wet storm, especially on the north side of the storm...<br /><br />One death in the Bahamas, that we know of.. Young fella was trying to fix his generator and he was electricuted.. <br /><br />Had one band come thru here at about 3p.m.. Little rain, gusty winds.. <br /><br />Almost a ghost town here.. Everything is closed, boarded up, and some areas are under curfew(sp?)... Gas is in extreemly short supply, if one could find an open station..<br /><br />Very windy now... Power, phone, and the satellite tv are still up.. This waiting is pure torture...
