boy...re-reading through this entire thread...and looking at my boat sitting there with the interior stripped down to bare fiberglass...sure is giving me ideas again....and when i start thinking, my wallet starts crying......

hmmm.....6 more feet sure would give me alot of extra room...

Re: hull extension in progress with picks

I think the same thing with mine all the time just 3-4 more feet would be awesome. I looks so big empty like it is now but I know the bow covers a large part of it and the inboard motor takes up another large part at the stern.

Finally made it to the end. Great work with everything oops! You've given me and thousands of others inspiration. I should be on the water next summer, maybe I'll see you on OK lake.
Thanks,
Jimmy

Every few months I check in on this thread and look for pictures. But unless I have missed them, and I am not going back enough pages, there aren't any. Is this right? Does this boat really exist? Why no pics?

Fake boat. Who in their right mind would buy a fiberglass boat, chop the back end off, and try to glue on an extra few feet:rolleyes:

A Kanuck with way too much exposure to high levels of resin fumes, glass dust, and Corona shows up in very strange ways when he goes to dream land:D

(Hey Ward, hows it going:p:D)

Hi oops, this is my first post on your thread. I'm new to iboats and have since disappeared from social interaction :D I've just finished reading through this whole thread and have to say, like everyone else has, I'm astounded by your craftsmanship and positive attitude despite setbacks... err.. umm... visits from Murphy. I will soon be starting a project on my boat . I have never worked with glass before so found this when researching. I'm really glad I have. Looking forward to seeing your final product. I'm sure I'll be bothering you with questions at some point.

Happy New Years!

C.Peet, welcome aboard and allow me to ease any concerns you may have. Your questions will not be considered 'a bother' to Oops or anyone on the thread for that matter..shoot away with the questions...great for all of us. My boat would not be back in business chasing speckled trout and flounder if it was not for Oops. He surely helped me bunches and I owe him an extra large cup of coffee, this guy "Oops" loves boats, loves talking boats and enjoys helping others come to par on select portions of understanding, regarding "Glassing". So rest assured my man, you are in the right place if you have project on hand...

Read most of this project this weekend....wow! I knew this thing was epic, but wow. Good to see I'm not the only one who missed my original date of completion by more than a couple years!!!

oops, what's going on?

Re: hull extension in progress with pics

I'm starting to think he doesn't have the boat any more...it's been what seems like a year since a "real" photo has been posted.
Just spent the last day going over this topic.....other than the 12 missing "camera cords" towards the beginning of the build....there's just no excuse for not posting at least 1 or 2 "original live" photos of this boat. :D Even if it's not photos of updates on progress or fun in the sun photos.........we'd probably be happy just seeing it sitting on the trailer (as long as the camera date was correct on the photo!)
I've almost forgot what it looks like as I've scanned the last 1000 posts on this topic....that's just how bad the photo posting has been oops!!! Something is up....... maybe the strange wave out on the lake grabbed the boat and oops doesn't want to say anything to us about it, because he thinks we won't believe him. Whatever it is......a photo will go a long ways to reconfirm there truly is a stretch boat somewhere up there sitting on a trailer waiting to get an interior for the last year! Ouch! :cold:

Maybe Oops boat is too big now and he fell in and cant get out? Did he tell anyone where he worked? I live in the same city which is less than 10 miles across. I could go check up on him and see if he's ok. Maybe ask him for a few pointers on my project while I'm there. lol
