I gotta say that is a great boat. Probably the only way I will have a nice bog boat like that is to build one like you did. I am hoping to revive my 18 footer this winter so that I can take my boys fishing again, and then we we get our finances back in order form this economy and the lack of work for my business, I will be able to get me a big project. I do hope that I can get one with working power. I would rather do that and rebuild them then fork out the Big money on power...
Either way, it will be great when I get one started, as I have 3 boys that can help and be a part of it...
sorry to hear about the 100 hp john....but you know...it costs a little more $$ but now you go a little faster! thats sweet to hear about 50 mph! i hope you hit it. hey i saw you got a new project boat, what will that thing do? looks like a 60mph boat bro....
Yeah when i went up to lake st clair we hit up muscamoobay (however its spelled...wired name if you ask me) and then over to anchor bay, then up threw the north channel and down around main channel i belive its called, hit a few bars, deckers, and brownss. Were plannin a trip to chicago next summer. Drive over to the sand dunes and put her in and shoot accross lake michigan. I was lookin for ya at the air races this spring, but i think you were puttin the final touches on her...SOOO NEXT YEAR MAN!
- YOU KNOW the truth is bigger boat, bigger problems.....i found my 20ft center console wellcraft was perfect size and did everything this scarab does. it was less maintance, less winterizing, less docking space, less gas, and less expense...however with that being said, if boating consumes you like it does me, and you have the time and inclination to want to tinker, check on, and use our boat everyday of the summer; then bigger can be better. I deends on how much you want boating a part of your life. Never think a bigger boat will be as simple as your current size. Always remember what works for you, WORKS FOR YOU, the grass isnt always greener on the other side
And im going to make it to Lake St Clair as well....no date set yet
Anyone wanna meet up?!
