'85 Merc 4.5 hp<br />'87 Evinrude 20 hp<br />'02 Yamaha 75 hp<br />I like each of them for different uses. All run great. <br /><br />Had a '96 Johnson 70 hp that died and we don't say anything if we can't say something nice!! (get my drift?)

Hey Chinewalker,I hoped you would reply I have a feeling open water wont arrive up there till July!<br /> S T marine, I have a 65 Merc 500 on a 57 17ft.Crestliner utility also purchased from the original owner.I used to ride in it as a teenager.<br /> Its my favorite. I like the way it sounds,I even like the way it shifts.<br /> Also have 87 and 88 50 evinrudes,53 Johnson 25,56 Johnson 30,47 td20,51? td20.

At present, '95 Merc 60 hp Bigfoot, '86 Johnson 28 hp, and Johnnyrude Mate 2 hp I took in trade.<br /><br />Best all-time performer; 1976 Evinrude 70 hp, (I think I had it on 3-4 boats), before the "Ex" had the divorce judge to order me to sell my boats!!<br /><br />Best sound, 196? four cylinder Jhonnyrude!! Just sounded neat!! <br /><br />Man, the weather here is finally turning the corner. I worked on my new, old, console in the sun yesterday and got sweaty. Storm's comin' so better not boat today. Sorry about you guys up north. Life on the Suncoast is sweet

I have had : <br />1973 Johnson 60hp<br />1990 mercury 90 hp<br />165 mercursier I/O<br />and current 1989 Yamaha 175hp<br /><br />I just bought the Yamaha. I am outting it on my conversion Boat. going from I/O to out board. <br /> My best was the 73 Johnson that was a nice motor.<br />Macojoe

1983 15 Evinrude<br />Had Evinrudes/Johnsons all my life except for a Merc that came with the boat. Nothing but trouble, froze up a couple of years after I had it. <br /><br />The Rude, great motor!!! On a sailboat, about 30 hours per year, not trouble.

1989 Force 50 on 15ft Bayliner Capri 1957 Evinrude 5.5hp Fisherman (finally got the gearcase sealed - it was the shift shaft o-ring- Runs GREAT) l967 Evinrude 3hp folding shaft Yachtwin 2000 Yamaha 2hp (slightly modified) 3hp Tanaka air cooled Little motors are for my 12ft aluminum boat and for tinker purposes. Would like to get a 5hp Tohatsu/Nissan/Mercury/etc. as the old Fisherman with it's 5gal pressure tank is HEAVY. But when I look at the cost of new motors, will stick with the old ones for now. Lots of fancy boats down here on Lake Havasu - saw one today with 3 300hp Mercs on it. How do you get 3 big OB's to run in sync? Love this thread & love playing with my 2 boats.
