New to the boating seen! Just got into it this year in april and I'm hooked!!<br /><br />I bought a 1965 12' Aerocraft for $50.00,no leaks!<br />Then I picked up a 1950 Evinrude Fleetwin Model 4434 for $37.00 and it runs like a champ now that I cleaned her out! I also picked up 2 Scott Atwaters,1 is a 1951 7.5hp model 1-20, the other is a 1953 Golden Penent 7.5hp The 51 model 1-20 eats my Evinrude for lunch! I think I'll buy more Scotts and keep refurbishing them, they run like a bat out of hell!!

6 at the moment, many over the years. Latest is this 1952 3hp I just picked up for $40, but I still feel so inadequate looking at the "wall" of Chinewalker..... <br />

'63 35HP West Bend - bought it for $5.00 at an auction. After cleaning it up and fixing a stripped spark plug thread, starts after 2 pulls when cold, 1 when warm. This motor out-performs my other motor, a '69 40HP Evinrude, Which thankfully, has electric start.

ihave an 1952 jhonson seahose 25hp (runs when it wants to).a 1979 electric start 20hp merc. and a 1985 8hp evinrude(best one of the bunch)

07 Nissan 9.8 electric remote, with high-thrust prop on the sailboat. Perfect replacement for the tired 74 'Rude 15.

1973 50hp Johnson (came with a free boat and trailer), and a 1973 25hp Johnson. Both run.

Its funny that this thread won't die. Looks like it was started 6 years ago and revived every year or so! lol

My count is about 40. Probably 1/3 run, 1/3 could run and 1/3 parts motors. However, I'm hoping a major downsizing in the spring.

I'm somewhat of a small outboard junkie. I buy, try and sell all the time. I've owned well over 30 and have had as many as 10 around at one time. I have been more disiplined lately.
Current inventory:

4 hp 98' evenrude- Sweet little 33# outboard with 2 cyl, internal tank, tiller throttle and F-N gears. Perfect carry on outboard for small prams/jon's. fi this outboard had reverse, there would be no need to own anything else.

5 hp- 92' Tohatsu- 44# outboard w internal tank and full F-N-R gears. This one is pristeen with very low hours. 1 cyl vibration is it's only drawback but it's not bad. Reserved for my big 17' square stern canoe where having the Reverse gear is a must.

6 Hp-85' Johnson- this is my "do all" beater motor . 56# so it's light enough to travel but is powerfull enough to push a fully loaded 14' aluminum boat 9w ( guys) on remote fishing trips. Somewhat redundant with the Tohatsu and Mariner these days but I can't bear to sell it.

8Hp Mariner 00'. Great motor but heavy @ 75#for a 2strk 8. Bought it because I LOVE the shift in the tiller feature. Don't even have anything to put this on (currently) but it's a keeper.

15 hp 96' merc- Great motor with ALLOT of power for it's 74# weight. Also has the shift in the hrottle feature that I love. Will likely sell this one this spring with the baot it's been married to for 13 yrs. :-(

30 HP 09' Nissan-Paid for but I won't pick it up for another month.. This is my second 4 stroke. Hope it works out as well as planned for the new 16' aluminum boat.

I have 2 motors I recenly aquired and I love them both mostly due to them being American made. I have nothing against other motors, just like the fact it was made in the USA.

I just recently got into boating and remember my Grandfather always talking about if you have a boat you need an Evinrude. Well, that is what I've been looking for and I have a 1969 4hp Lightwin and a 1952 7.5hp Fleetwin. I just picked upt the Fleetwin and for being 57 years old it is in remarkable shape. I am going to fully restore the motor and look forward to seeing it in it's original condition.

Besides the Royal, all run in like new condition, with the exception of the 9.9 which I'm waiting on some parts for. I'll be checking out an early 80s Evinrude 70hp on Monday afternoon, hope to come home with her. What can I say, I LOVE OMCs!!!

I only have 6, newest to oldest 90'-6 johnson,73'-20 johnson,70'-6 johnson,65'-9.5 evinrude,63'-18 johnson,td20-5 johnson 47' I like johnsons the best, there reputation. new to rebuilding them, my favorite is the 18hp its only 70lbs and on my 75' 14 foot valco i can do 23mph

Got 3 right now. Hoping for 4 (see below)
1985 140hp Johnson Looper (my favorite) and I just love it.
1982 Mercury 7.5hp (kicker) Love it as long as it works.
1968 Evinrude 40hp Big Twin (work in progress) and fun to tinker with.
1975 4hp Evinrude (hoping to get this from the neighbor for cheap) then it will become my kicker.
