Re: How I made my boat seats.....(guide)
I know I usually just read and lurk here but.....
This is an AWESOME thread.... I have done about two or three dozens upholstery jobs... over the years it all started for me when I re-did my motorcycle seat when I was about 15yrs old... My mother is a very talented seamstress for advice but I could have really used your thread or your upcoming video when I first started... Man mistakes can get expensive when you are learning on marine vinyl....
Totally awesome though....
My mother has an electronic embroidery machine and I sneak over and use her machine all the time to add logos and writing on headrests and such.... I use it so much that she threatens to charge me a monthly membership fee....
You are doing great.... I cannot STRESS how good your stitching and how straight your lines are for your first job.... BTW what you are learning is extremely addictive..... be prepared friends and buddies and such are always wanting me to do their hot rods, boats, motorcycle seats etc.... and this is just a hobby for me as well.... makes a great bartering tool.... transmission job , engine rebuild, deck built on my house are some of the things I have bartered for.... besides bartering is fun, because both people have given and both get what they want....
Are you going to keep them all solid colors or are you going to put stripes or designs in them???
great job!!!!
If you need any help or anything drop me a message.... but your stuff looks as good as my second or third job looked.... you have a talent....
