Guys,

Just to let you know the saga is still ongoing. Boat performance is still the same and I can't source jets here.

2KBOAT, I didn't receive any information from you via email. Would you try again please.

I can get jets via email if I know what to order.

Thanks

NG

87 140 --
Idle air bleed (lower or one on the bottom of the two air bleed jets)=
28 with 397907 or 397908 stamped on the cover plate. Or 45 with 431883 stamped on the cover plate.

Intermediate or mid range air bleed jet (upper of the two air bleed jets)=
16 with 397908 stamped on the cover plate. Or 20 with 397907 stamped on the cover plate. Or 32 with 431883 stamped on the cover plate.

The high speed jet (in the bowl)=
59D (not C) with 431883 stamped on the cover plate. Or 61D (not C) with 397907 or 397908 stamped on the cover plate.

Again -- a word of caution, DO NOT RUN THE MOTOR WITH THE AIRBOX COVER OFF!!

Dhadley,

Thanks for this.

2 questions, 1 stupid, where/what is the coverplate, are you referring to the carbs?

Do you know how I could get these jets mailed to Oman?

NG

thanx dhadley for answering this.

-
any way the cover plate is the side plate on carb body with 2 screws. newer carbs use a sticker, but the older years were stamped into the plate.
