Duranautic 12' Aluminum Boat - $950 (Vineland)

For sale, very clean 1970's model Duranautic DN-12 12' Aluminum boat
Needs nothing, ready to use, transom wood is like new, was replaced a few years ago.
Never ran with motor, always paddled. No dents.
These are welded seam boats.
These are very stable boats, slightly wider than most.
Rated for 10hp motor.

Bought larger boat, haven't used this one in a few years so I guess its time for it to go.
$950 cash

It helps getting on plane in reverse. It's the very rare owner who reads the instructions because that tip is buried in the fine-print.

Joking aside, yep, it's on wrong.
Not necessarily. Some are actually supposed to be mounted that way:

I bet in 1991 this rig and everything included didn't retail for what his asking price used is...

I know with my motor hoods I am constantly having to look for it, mainly its my fault because I keep misplacing them. That's why I am glad to see this guy throwing in an extra, you know, just in case

The "extra" motor hood is badged a 9.9 for his 15. Lots of lakes have a 10 HP max, and you can't tell the difference between a mercury 9.9 and 15 except from the stickers, otherwise they are the same size. So, on a limited lake, switch the hood, and you're legal!

I fully understand the reason for the 9.9 hood for a 15hp motor, however the ad says 2 9.9 hoods. I was bringing to light that he has redundant hoods as a selling point.

The steering wheel works perfect? Well then, consider it sold!

A few years ago I needed to buy a vehicle and was watching the CL postings for one. It was interesting to see the number of people who focused their ad on how great the stereo was or the new upholstery, or how well the heater worked, or the fact it had new tires (in one case tires that had never been on the road but had been on the vehicle for ten years while it sat in his yard waiting for a new starter) and so on, with little or nothing about the condition of the engine, drive train or body. It didn't take me long to recognize these things as potential red flags. They didn't necessarily scare me off entirely, but they sure did make me look closer than I might have otherwise.

1991 Glassport 180Euro Bow Rider Boat w/ 1991 Continental Trailer

Like the first robin this is another sign that Spring is here and things are thawing out in our area. I like "Needs freeze plugs, intake gaskets (2-3), and battery (approx. $150). Plus, put back together (had it apart to fix the intake water exhaust manifold)" in the description. No mention of the possible cracked block.
