I am happy you like your 4 popper.. Not the powerplant I woulda picked for that boat or your boat..

I didn't pick it, the factory did. If and when I need to repower, going to move to a 3.0 V6 I think.

Marketing strategy #1: be so vague that the customer's curiousity will bring him out to look at it
Marketing strategy #2: give bad legal advice
Marketing strategy #3: use a popular brand for comparison even though your boat is nothing like it (an 18" Carolina Skiff (actually 17 or 19) is probably 6' wide--unless he means the old wooden skiff.)

Hi i have a project boat for sale. i have part of the flooring but needs the front half. it needs a motor and a trailer also. i dont have the title for it but you can go to a bait and tackle shop and file for a lost title. it floats and doesnt have any holes. it looks like a carolina skiff. its 18ft long and 3 1/2 to 4ft wide. am willing to deliver if you are in range if not i can meet you or you can come to my house. sorry i dont have any pics camera just broke. i am willing compermise on the prise its 225 obo. am will ing to trade for a dirt bike 90cc or higher or 4 wheeler 90cc or higher or an you can email me or call me between 10am and 4pm please no earlier or no later 757 xxx-xxxx if no one answers leave a message and i will get back with you asap THANKS

WOW! He really thinks people are going to believe that you can go to a "bait shop" and apply for a title??? A boat with no title is USELESS. If you aren't the registered owner, you can't get a title, much less get it in your name. This guy either thinks people are stupid, or he in fact is the really dumb on. I'm going with the latter

not true...some states...TN included, you only need a bill of sale to register a boat or trailer...just sayin.

Heres a whole platoon of Volvo engines!

"Volvo engine, turns over good. need new carpet and seats and some work too. call me at xxxxxxxxx"

needs some work is an understatement to say the least...looks like it has a tree growing thru it

this must be the longest most read post in our forums. One big thing I look for is more than 1 misspelling or bad wording in the ad, this indicates that they a lying to the extreme. Also in today's time it is impossible for me to believe that you cant figure out how to post pics, so if you cant figure out how to post pics, I do not want your boat. these 2 principles have saved me countless hours chasing "bargains"

I know this isn't quite on topic but I've never understood why people park vehicles/boats on the side of the road with for sale signs with only a phone # and don't put what they want for it at least on the sign or better... Big enough you can see the price from the road. Do they like being bugged by people asking what the price is? Or think if they tell me how great it is over the phone that I'll want to pay more for it? lol.

Yup, I never bother with them. I don't know what the thought process is with ads like that.
