One of a kind fourteen foot fiberglass MFG skiff painted like the General Lee. Great first boat for a kid or drink beer and fish in the creek. It's got a 6hp Evinrude, but prob needs Cooter to go through it and tune 'er up. Become the envy of all your trailer park neighbors. Brag to them all that you bought this gem for just 500 bucks or make me an offer and get her cheaper than that. Tattoos, cut-off shorts and trailer not included. Call 804-***-****

Thats a nice boat for $500 with motor. You could easily repaint it. Hopefully it has a trailer.

But why.. Dasiey Duke might hop in it like it is...

Shame there is no trailer, I would fish out of it for $500.. That's pretty cheap to get on the water

My son (22) and a friend went out to look at a "some TLC needed" $100 boat yesterday. Yes..... they bought it :-(

What they got was a 15' ski boat on a decent trailer. In addition, the boat had an old 100hp Merc "tower of power" on it with a really chewed up prop. The owner said he used it last year but this year it wouldn't start, so he'd throw it in for an extra $50. They paid $140 for the lot. Kid must have learned something from idly watching me work, I guess, because yesterday afternoon they got yelled at for going too fast blasting around Berkeley marina in it.

I looked it over last night, and can't say they were ripped off for $140. The seats are car seats on a wooden platform, but they are there, the nav lights work, the trailer has working lights and good tires, and both boat and trailer are current on their registration. The motor seems to be running fine, it's pee'ing water as it runs, but it really does need a new prop.

Given his age, I guess I shouldn't be surprised what the deciding factor was in making the purchase.....

call or text...

And all this time I've been using my tilt trailer to launch in shallow water situations...

PS. Note to sellers: If you advertise your boat's exceptional drainage then a buyer might assume you also have exceptional leakage.

Nice one!

Boat was backed over a sand bar and lower unit broke off. Still have outdrive intact.Looks like the gimble ring and clam shell broke
Then I parked it under a tree for 15 years and now I'm trying to sell it.

Ouch.. What a breakage... Anyone who owns a truck big enough to haul that monster has the money to buy a running boat...

I'll give him $45.50

Rebuilt engine, everything great! Good condition, been to the islands!...."needs lifters" slipped right in there. And LOL at the $400 price tag for lifters and labor. Id give him 2 grand though. Although if it was rebuilt and now needs lifters, it was either beat to hell afterwards, or the mechanic did s crappy job.... take that back.... id give him a grand.

I know what you mean. Someone had to be drunk already to back up over a sand bar with that kind of force to snap that off.
