He better reduce it down to the teens. Sunbird is on par with a Bayliner.

Nothing like finding out the hard way to try before you buy.

We bought it for $1500 from the Sean & Steve Petersen in Lincoln County. WE GOT RIPPED OFF!

He told us it was water ready. THEY LIED TO OUR FACES!!

We spent $100 on life vests, stern light, new plug and recovered the motor cover.

We took it to the lake only to pull it back out. It was not water ready,

We spent $160 on a new cable and trust washer for prop.

I have receipts to show what we have put into it. $1500 + $160 + $100.

We tried to take them to court, we wasted more money ( they got an attorney).

We do not have the knowledge, time or money to rebuild this boat.

It has a 165 HP straight 6 Mercruiser, 18 foot with trailer, Inboard outboard, new seats. It looks good, but its a project boat.

Gee, they had to spend $100 on life vests, stern light, new plug and "recover" motor cover?? Oh, dear!!! And then they had to put a CABLE on a USED BOAT? So they spent 1500 on a used boat that looks to be in very nice condition. And are crying because they had to spend $100 on accessories, and $160 on repairs?

They sound like a couple of cry baby losers to me. Dropping $260 on a used boat is like peeing in the ocean when it comes to the hobby of boating. They need to modify their expectations of what is involved with buying and owning a used boat.

Agree. These sound like some of those "this is what's wrong with our country" kinda people.

LOL!

but maybe.....
not so much....

Grandad was a mechanic in the big one and often spoke of fliipping jeeps up on their sides for maintenance. I didn't know any different and thought it a good idea. His work in military service carried over to civilian life, he turning wrenches the rest of his life and owned a mechanic shop/motorcycle dealership. Being young and dumb as I was, and having grown accustomed to flipping my bicycle upside down to work on it, you should have heard him laugh fist time he came round the corner and saw me with my little '69 Z-50 honda flipped upside down and fixing a bent kickstand. :)

I hope no one was in the boat when they put it on the trailer

I hope no one was in the boat when they put it on the trailer

It is the picture that gets me... Have I been putting my boat on the trailer wrong? I thought the keel went down.

14' Starcraft deep V boat, 7 1/2 HP Mercury outboard motor and trailor. Great boat, motor and trailor combination. We were only able to use it once this year due to a back injury.

It is not uncommon for people to flip small boats like that one over for off-season storage. Nothing strange about that one to me.

I am just wondering if the back injury was a result of flipping the boat?
