As I have aged a bit and got a bit wiser I try to avoid buying boats or engines that I can stand on one side and see clear through and out the other side.

That would, of course, be advertised by the seller as having "unlimited visibility".

I think I may have just won this thread:

Vintage Project Trwaler

no, not close really..... this ad is tongue in cheek, the winneris someone who REALLY THINKS his mega POS is worth a mint....

like a 28 year old trashed fiberglass tri hull, with a rotted transom, old mercury basketcase and a trailer 1 foot under ground

and he wants $8K

and says "no low ballers!!!!!!!!!! hahaha

I still can't believe it's for real and doesn't see how it can move anything more effectively than a simple paddle!

Anyways, everybody is already carrying a watertight cordless drill while on a float tube, so why not! The best part is when it's said it will also work on pontoon...

This made my day! The funny thing is: If you look at the extended URL, the imbedded search terms for the "product" include both "gater" and "huntin" (sadly, he'll probably get more search hits using the vernacular, as opposed to correct, spelling).

AHEM...

Be prepared to be astounded...a "special tactical" hunting and fishing boat (as if the fish and fowl can shoot back?)

Hunter & Fisherman Special

Pretty sure that's just a galvanized window well welded, poorly, onto a cheap little aluminum boat? I guess the signs make it official?

The best line, "NADA says its worth XXX."

Umm, no, its worth that much *IF* its in good condition.

So true just looked at a 84 DynaTrak 150Merc guy wanted 6k REALLY "But I have over 3k in receipts of work that was just completed" Sorry for your loss but you spent 3k on a 3.5k boat and motor according to NADA Good Luck
