If he were closer I'd take $75 to haul it away. Not a tough fix,,, but worthless as is.

Sure, it makes bubbles in the water when it runs.

I wonder if it would work with my mini fridge motor (chrysler), could chill + make mixed carbonated drinks! :D

Thats what they make those huge metal plates for. And lots of silly cone ;)

Stick a fork in that boat. The lower unit is probably done to.

the rock it hit. it's probably ok.

wait. I just found the link to it. They want how much and did WHAT to it?

I thought people learned that re-arranging the deck chairs on the titanic was a waste of time. Start with the obvious (big hole in back of boat) than deal with the seats and trailer.

The ad:

1986 Alumacraft
40 hp Yamaha
Cover
Love the boat. This boat runs well and has never disappointed me. One minor issue, lost lower unit in Canada.

Well I would be disappointed me if I lost my lower unit too. Lets look at it.

I just found this "Runs twin Perkins turbo charged and intercooled diesels. Has a Kohler generator. It has a gutted interior. It has sunk, but was brought up and both engines and generator work. It was a former restoration project."

To me "former restoration project" implies it's ready or almost ready for the water.

$700??? I paid $450 for mine. Floor, Steering wheel, everything.

If the splashwell wasn't hacked out its not a bad deal, I sold one here a month ago that needed a ton of rivet work for double that, it wasn't listed for an hour when it sold, without a trailer or title.

I don't think I'd want to go through trying to find a good used splashwell for that though. I've had a few of them, no clue why anyone would remove it, its a structural part of that hull.

"boat runs and drives but hull had a peice delaminate": sleekcraft enforcer complete or 496ho & bravo 1x

A buddy of mine just bought one of those minus a trailer in water ready condition, but in 'used' condition needing some interior work for $20K, and thought he got a deal. Those bring good money, if someone were to buy that, do the repairs there's still a good profit to be made. He's asking $10K, I'd bet he'd take less, its a good shot at doubling your money if you do that sort of work.
The only problem is that someone will most likely buy that, doctor it up enough to look good on the cheap and off the thing for a BIG profit and stick some unsuspecting buyer.
