Did you catch the photo with the dog?

It looks like he's thinking, "What the hell is THIS!?"

"The trailer has a newer wench and jack on it." Well there you go, forget the boat, motor, and trailer...he's including a wench and some cash (of course from craigslist she might not be much of a looker)...

15 ft. project bass boat

Multi-pieces patched deck, non-running overheated engine ("Motor works but it needs a new water impeller which I have but didn't have time to change. Also included: Mercury motor service manual"), no steering wheel (wait, it's on the table!), missing coupler latch ("the trailer needs a new ball joint clamp to hook up"), rusty trailer...not bad!

Why buy an expensive new trailer when you can buy an expensive used one?

And he always called it the "James Bond boat", so that must be worth something...

No shortage of awesome boats around here: 1972 AristoCraft Boat & Cox Trailer

"The money is in the trailer"

Only $1999.

The boat comes with the trailer. The boat is a 1972 Aristocraft. There is no drive line in the boat. It is a project boat that never got worked on. These boats are very collectible and have become rare. The boat does have the sliding roof which many don't because they get lost. I have always called this the "james bond boat". They no longer make these boats, but there is a club down in GA where you can get parts and lots of help if you need it.

First of all, how do you lose a sliding top that weighs 200 lbs. and is about 6X6"? He's right, they aren't made any more but the club in GA. is Aristocraft boats. The same company that made this boat originally, now they only make a couple of wood boat models which originated in the '50s.

And no, that isn't a $2000 trailer. Does Dad know he's selling his boat?
