496 Marine Engine - $4000
496 Vortec Marine Engine,--C-N-C-PORTED HEADS,everything but the cam 1 Piston and the Exhaust System, It has the computer for the fuel injection, all the plumbing, and pumps water and fuel. It NEEDS 1 PISTON AND A 4 / 7 SWAP CAM SHAFT, IT WILL GO STANDARD/ STANDARD AND STANDARD BORE________ I NEED $4000.00 ________________________

Yeah buddy... Maybe if the block and heads you are selling have the words "Brodix" or "Dart" cast someplace on them... But $4K for a molested GM lump? A machine shop owner to boot (he should know better), who "Needs $4000.00"...
Me thinks he's not quite "Square", and owes someone on the down low some cash.

Yeah...
It's even one of those ultra rare "kick start" 3.3's, or at least that's what I think he said... :)

Oh My GAWD ..... really?
89 Bayliner
89 Bayliner - $2000
89 bayliner Capri with an open bow and in board 4 cylinder. The interior needs some work. some of the seats are ripped up. And there is a soft spot in the floor. It runs great, we have had it out to the lake several times. Pulls skiers and tubers very well. If interested 913-579-5288

Here's one in Roch-cha-cha NY...

85 Calais open bow

I love the grasp of the English language, punctuation used, and apparently its a guessing game if it runs or not as the owner states it runs but then says he/she isn't sure as it won't turn over!
It runs good/mint but doesn't start. Drive is good too, although I'm not sure how he would know that since it apparently doesn't start. I'm thinking those pictures weren't taken in Rochester this year.

Great for your kids when they need to get around the breathalyzer. I feel like giving myself mad props for being a troll.

Ever wonder what's going through a seller's mind as they type all of that garbled mess into the description field? Who do they think will buy or even call them about it? A mistake here and there I can understand, cell phones and their auto correct features can mess things up, but not that bad!

I don't know much about deck boats, but $12,000 seems rather high for a 1996 with an inch of dust covering it!

One you can't post this but no worries...the mods will take care of it for you. Before they do.... It is not a good deal. I would not give them more than maybe $3000. The motor, if it runs and it will need work, is worth about $500. The hull? Maybe $1500. The trailer about $400. And I am being generous.

Re: This seems like a great deal....

Since the NADA average retail is $7570, and it's been sitting "for several years", it may not be such a great deal at $12K.

The dust will wash right off. Since the "low" is $6600, I'd offer somewhere between those two figures provided the engine starts.

Yea....I should have posted it under the "Craigslist ads" or whatever that thread was. But I just thought it was histerical....12k for that boat!!!??? Unbelievable...If I were looking for a project boat, I might give him 2k....after I inspected it with a fine tooth comb....

Gotta remember that this ad is coming from Cali. People in Cali, for the most part are totally out of touch with reality. :)
