NOT the usually TLC ad...I am thinking...this is a LOT of boat for the money... just that canvas encloser would cost more than $1500 to have someone make...

I dont know what engine it takes.....

but for a guy who wanted to go fishing...and was going to buy a boat this size....he could do well just buying the motor for this rig

anyone know if this boat is a good boat or niot( i mean make and model)

Not a bad boat, but the older Sport Crafts were known for not sealing the weep holes on the stringers, therefor rotting the stringers out. The fiber glass on these boats is of real good quality and the hulls are thick. They are a good rough water boat. A lot of the charters on Lake of the Woods in Minnesota have these boats, as well as Lake Erie. I have one that is in great shape, but the stringers and transom on these need to be checked carefully before purchase.

You even get the Decals!!

1960 Larson Playboy project boat. The boat is solid but will need interior work – floor, seats, etc. Most of the hardware is there. You might be able to buff out most of the boat, but there is a small area on the deck that would have to be filled and painted. The trailer is a Spartan roller trailer that is in fair condition. It has bearing buddies and the tires are a little weather checked. The motor is a 70’s model 55hp Chrysler that runs great. Recently replaced starter, solenoid, points, condensers and some wires. There is also a manual and all the controls. I will even throw in the decals that are pictured. If you have any questions, my number is 218-230-0033.

I wonder how many people have gotten suckered into one of these. Then find this site for help and see their boat in this thread.
