Re: Funny "TLC needed" boat ads on Craigslist.
I wonder if this guy is trying to convey some hidden message by capitalizing certain words?

OK, for those who didn't get it the first time around, here is what this CL ad would probably sound like if it were translated into plain english:
"I have a boat that is a heap of junk. However, the TITLE is good. If you have a good boat with no title, you can buy mine, put the HIN on your boat and register it using the TITLE you just bought from me. Then you haul the boat you just bought from me to the landfill." This will give you a good boat with a valid TITLE.
"The trailer and the title for it are both good. You can use the trailer as is or do the same thing with it."
"Ditto on the Motor."
All this title switching is clearly illegal, would probably carry a substantial penalty if you were to get caught and is not to be recommended. However, there's no denying that it does happen occasionally.
The older CJ 5 Jeeps had a VIN plate that was simply riveted to the firewall. Easy to remove and install on another Jeep. I had a junker Jeep with a good title advertised for sale online. A guy contacted me and offered me more money than I was asking if I would remove the VIN plate and mail it to him in another state along with the signed title. I told him to come to my house, I would sign the title over to him, he could remove the Jeep from my property and do whatever he wished with it. Otherwise, no deal. I never heard from him again.
"Im into cars got from craigslist thought id try a dabble at boats just Not my thing" means he buys and sells cars from CL. He tried it with boats but that's not for him.
Jeremiah is the seller's name.
"sale trade bang bang man stuff" means he will sell the items or trade for firearms (and maybe other sporting items or equipment?). In some places, just the mention of firearms will get you flagged off CL immediately, or so I've been told. Therefore you use euphemisms such as "things that go bang", "boom stick", bang bang, etc.
"LETS MAKE DEAL SO WERE BOYH HAPPY" (sic) Means he is willing and ready to negotiate.
BTW, the seller in this case is not doing anything illegal. He's simply giving prospective buyers the hint. They can take it from there and act on it or not. If they wish to break the law, it's none of his concern.
