How do you know things like "long shaft" and not know MarineR? I see what you mean about the font. Comment remains the same.

I thought they were not allowed to use Rs on the end of words on the east coast. :)

Well, New Yawkers are the ones that add "r" to some words: "I have an idear" or "Flush the terlet."

In New England, you might have a haht attack if youwer cah doesn't staht.

Nothing unusual about this ad except the statement that "This is an excellent family boat that won't last". Heck, I've never owned a boat that wouldn't last, but I've owned several vehicles that didn't last and I've got a Ford F-150 right now that probably won't make it till spring. LOL

Lake Ready Outboard Bayliner is in great condition with low hrs. Excellent for pulling tubes/water skiing/fishing/recreational use. The upholstry is in great shape and the motor is a FORCE 120 by Mercury Mariner that has plenty of power to breeze through the lake. New stickers for the trailer and the boat. Has been garage kept until recently and it really shows. New battery and fuel filter. This is an excellent family boat that wont last. Please call or text 915-XXX-XXXX if interested. I can text or email pics if you interested. 5 Life vests, two seater tube included.

Location: EAST EL PASO

Hi, I have a 1966 hydrodyne deck boat. It has aluminum railing all the way around it. The guy I bought it from said it use to have an I/O engine but it locked up so he plated the back and put an outboard on it. He said it does just fine with the outboard. It had a johnson 35hp on it but it has a patch on the side of the engine that was leaking so I bought another boat for the engine and put it on there. It is an evinrude 35hp. The lower bearings weren't good so I took all the lower unti off the other engine and put it in there. The motor runs out good so basically right now all it needs is a kill switch hooked up and the lights rewired and the boat would be ready to take out. I have a couple new life jackets with it, a new gas can. I think there is oars on it and a fire extinguisher on it also, and I might throw in the marine battery if the price is right. It also has a trolling motor on it. The boat is 8' x 20'. It would make a great river fishing boat, that was my intensions until work slowed way down and then I fell off of a roof and now I need money, I have a little more than the asking price in it. May consider partial trades for things that go bang and ammo. Thanks for your time. My name is Matt and you can email me or call me at 502-643-8080 or 502-417-3135. Thanks for your time, leave a message if no answer.

That's the shortest-looking "long shaft" shaft I've ever seen.

That's just an attempt at marketing, as in the boat won't be for sale long before someone snaps it up because it's wonderful and/or the price is right!

Whenever I see the phrase "won't last" in a CL ad, I also figure the boat won't last long. Period. :D

IF a potential buyer has to be told what a great deal it is, then it isnt a great deal. Plain and simple.

Yeah, "Won't last long" and "This is a great deal; price goes up in Spring" are like saying "Oil leak? What oil leak? That's just sweat from all that horsepower..."

What a bargain! :D
