Talked to coworker about her upcomming sholder surgery, she said she is almost completely ambidextrious, so recovery period won't be too bad.<br /><br />i tell her i can't even wipe my but with my left hand.<br /><br />then 2 hours later i go and chop 1.3 inches off the end of my right middle finger. fudge <br /><br />ohh well, its gone now.<br /><br />gotta go lern to wipe my but now.

Damn Roscoe.I hate hearing that.Hope you heal up ok.Those things are suppose to happen to rookies.I feel you'll do well and adapt.Just hate hearing when someone gets injured.

It happens to a lot of experienced people because we tend to get complacent.<br /><br />Still a bad situation.<br /><br />But to put it into perspective....My wife's boss Son In Law fell from a deer stand this year and broke both wrists. He couldn't wipe his butt at all....His wife had to do it....Now that's a good woman!

Sympathies and Get Well sentiments, Roscoe. I'll be sure to keep an eye out next time I get a Tombstone. I'll drop it in the mail if I find it. Superglue was originally developed as an instant bandage, you know. <br /><br />Sometimes I look at my hands and wonder why they still work. I think there's more scar tissue than skin. My BIL pinched off a couple of fingertips on a cable reel and my FIL lost a leg to a tree he cut down. SH1T Happens.

details on how, later<br /><br />save it ? small town thought i would be trasported to big city, but no<br /><br />2 hours of accident investigation and paperwork drug tests, hair samples, blood tests, urine sample<br /><br />then 5 minutes of irrigation, tetenus shot, ointment, gauze wrap.<br /><br />told me to go home, change the bandage on sunday and come back on monday<br />no pills or shots or anything !!!<br /><br />thats when i spoke up.<br />i go back today<br />they change the bandage.<br />they WILL GIVE me a protector of somekind.<br /> got some vicadon but only took one, cause i gotta drive<br /><br />may drive an hour to big city hospital cause i want this to heal right.<br />waiting till monday to see a surgion / specialist just don't seem right.<br /><br />new kitchen cabnets and stove get delivered in an hour so i cleaned out a spot in garage at 7am, they just have to sit for a cople months

Roscoe, I'm sorry to hear about your finger. I cut the tip of my thumb off once and feel your pain. The trobbing alone is enough to make a preacher swear.<br /><br />Get you some pain pills. It's amazing how much it hurts and continues to hurt for a long time after.<br /><br />Take care of yourself.

[hoping you are in good enough spirits for a joke and a razzing ??]<br />.<br />.<br />I hear that some men have their finger taken off and used to enlarge their "member" because they were inadequate before.... so YOU say it was an accident huh?<br />.<br />.<br />All joking aside, best wishes in your healing. Work injuries can range from the mild to the deadly, and I have seen the range. I had a buddy slip and fall (almost) into a fire, we would not have been able to rocover him in time... glad he just sprained his ankle, it could have been much worse.

yikes! there goes your lifelong dream of playing the clarinet.<br /><br />Seriously, though, sorry to hear about your loss. We're making light of it because that's what men do, no disrespect intended.<br /><br />Hopefully you'll be able to find compensations; there's bound to be some skills that will improve without that pesky digit in the way. Like now you are really gonna have one hellacious split-finger fastball! Or some funny stories you can make up about it. Or at the very least some Accidental Death & Dismemberment insurance proceeds.<br /><br />My dad got just the opposite problem: reached his left hand over an inverted table saw & took off his 1st & 3rd at the 1st joint. After that he has to be careful not to relax his hand while driving, or in photographs, cause it looks like an obscene gesture.

tnx for the well wishes and humor.<br /><br />mike, will give you all the detail, after i get some sleep.<br /><br />ob, happens to the guys that are trying to help others<br /><br />willy, sorry, no extra protein for you.<br />actually were making a non meat pizza, and all my meat was contained in equipment - auger<br />equip was removed and everything within 30? or 40'? was rinsed soaped and sanitized, will be recleaned and sanitized before it is used again. biohazard cleanup is one thing they are real good at.<br /><br />no Barlow, kitchen on hold for awhile, but thnx<br /><br />member 41416 , enlargement would be nice, but i scare the women enough as it is. it don't get much use anyway.<br /><br />jtexas, don't see any $ coming my way<br />have to lose whole finger at the hand to get some paultry amount of cash ($200?)<br /><br />The plant is closed for 3 days and I am actually expected to be at work on monday, light duty, office work. Won't be able to do my job for several months. <br /><br />Will actually lose afew bucks as I volunteered for a layoff for next week<br /><br />called a couple doctors and they said current treatment is correct, but not to be afraid to hit the er if something don't seem right.<br /><br />again, I appreciate you get well wishes.
