Our gov down here made it a point from the start to support all the nursing homes and elderly communities with assistance and PPE . It’s not easy guessing how to best protect the folks and make all the right decisions . Doing what he did as first priority was a good move ...

I'm in the hospital now. Getting the full workup. Doc said he'd likely admit me. I'm high risk.

My covid19 test came back negative. But I do have pneumonia, so I'll be here for a couple days. 😬

Annnnddd... this morning I learned that I DON'T have pneumonia. Chest x-ray was clear.

I had/have an infection caused by being an old guy.

Hopefully, I'll be discharged today.

Stop scaring us, you guys. Glad it's only old age, BWR.

Hoping sphelps is negative. No robot jokes this time, Sam. Be well.

You and the crew, but families tested or waiting to see how the whole crew turns out?

I had one of those creatures under my skin too. My wife said the Doc told her he called some other docs over to show them the biggest hernia he ever saw and he was out of Med school a long time, not a rookie. If I knew that I would have charged admission. A missed opportunity if there ever was one.

Just found out one of my best workers tested positive and is pretty sick at the moment . I’ve been feeling a little funky today but no fever ..

Thats funny, I called my abdominal hernia my alien baby......

If the guy on your crew got his test back tkday, think you'll know today too?

If you havent gotten a negative result yet, whyetwill the doc pull the plug on the hernia repair? Fri.am or late tomorrow?

Be well

Had a bud who just went through the same hernia operation. Funny part for him was there was a second one in there too ... he had twins! :D

Recovery wasn't too bad for him. Hope the same is true for you ... less the "twins" part. ;)

Only thing that concerns me is the mesh that is used on the repair . I sure hope they have all the kinks worked out by now on the procedure . Hopefully no complications with it down the road ..

I thought I had one on the right side, turns out I had one on BOTH sides. The right side was to be the worst one and they did that one first and when they got inside there were complications. 5 days later I was on a plane to Ghana. Recovery was remarkably rapid. The second one was not supposed to be as bad, but true to me, there were complications. It still wasn't as bad as the right ... but the recovery was about 2 1/2 weeks. Go figure. I am just plain weird and I admit it! Good luck with your surgery ... will be praying for a smooth surgery and a rapid recovery.

My alien was caged about 30 years ago. No problems with the mesh, maybe it was better back then?

The worst thing for me was after I came home following the day surgery, I took a nap. When I awakened, I had no pain and without thinking I began to get up like a regular day. By that time all the anesthesia pumped round the incision wore off and the alien tried to make an escape by tearing through the mesh and my belly. Oh the pain! The following scream brought the wife running! Just be careful of quick movements for a few days.

Sure hope your test and the rest of them comes back with negative results. One alien is one too many, you don't need two of them.
