Yep truly a bozo.... what kind of idiot would give out his address and state that he was out of town but be afraid to give out a phone number???

I guess I'll just keep looking for a good deal on a newer bigger outboard

boat is likely rotten out trash and motor needs at least a lower unit and (broken line I think) power trim work.... he's overpriced by $400

Never know tho... I've seen people ask high but be willing to take anything someone offered

Example, a guy offered me a ratty merc 115 outboard for $350 and when I told him that was too much he asked what I'd pay... I said "no offense but no more than $50" ... he thought about it for a minute and then said "sold"

Agreed $1,800 plus $500 (I think) for the trailer.

Sometimes the store is out of milk and you have to go to the dairy. And dairies are never in town, always in the country or up-country. I seem to remember in my post-concussion state that it worked once. :fish: Thinking back, maybe it didn't. :eek:

You know what I hear when I read...

"needs a tune up" = driveline is trashed

"needs new owners with a dual axle trailer" = holy cow, getting a 27' giant glasser on a trailer seems like a monster project in itself.. Plus, the trailer makes up a large amount of the value in a donor boat. I think that one might need to be like a "haul it away freebee" to make it work.

Ah, there's one out there with my name on it. Somewhere. I'll find her. Patience is the key.......... (well, that plus Vulcan mind power)

Jas' you willing to drive to louisville for one? I have a line on a 27'er with supposedly a good driveline for $500... no trailer but I can help ya load her... easy job... takes less than an hour

I don't have any more details yet except that it's a '79
