The Army Corp of Engineers has issued an official notice warning the fish to stay clear of the area for the duration.

We're thinking about hanging out at the flats near the mouth of the Susquehanna Saturday. Will anyone else be around?

Hey Arks - are you going to make it to the marina for the fireworks Saturday night? Hoping to see you there!

Going to be blasting around with my family and cousins tomorrow. Might go explore the Bohemia river for awhile.

Re: Boating the Upper Chesapeake

Just joined & wanted to say hello. My boyfriend & I are new boaters - just bought a '98 Maxum 1900 SCL (white & green named "Tig Life") last month and can usually be found cruising the canal from the basin down to Ski Beach on the Bohemia. Our home ramp is the freebie in the basin in Chesapeake City, but have also tried out the Elk Neck State Park and most recently Duffy Creek on the Sassafrass. Always looking for different places to go. Mostly hang out at Ski Beach, but have also gone on the Sassy where the rope swing is. Nice ramps at the state park but it wasn't my favorite with all of the wake coming in. Want to try out Lloyd's Creek although I've heard that the entrance is hard to find. Luckily we have some seasoned boaters that we can follow around until we are more comfortable. My least favorite part? Anchoring! Say hello if you ever see us out there!

Welcome Jcraig,
Where is the rope swing now? Spent the weekend at Fairlee creek and loved the fireworks. Nice display considering the marina pays the tab. Finally got a ride in a go fast boat when there was enough "chop"(I would have not even gone out in my boat) to appreciate the ride. Mid 80's with lots of air and soft landings, I can see (almost) how they are willing to pay that much in fuel for the ride.

Bill, I didn't get to see you all summer! Maybe we'll be able to meet up in 2014.

The rope swing at Lloyd's is gone forever; the property owner didn't want the liability. Is there another rope swing elsewhere on the Sassafras?

Good weather is finally here and it seems like the right time to revive the zombie thread! Anybody headed out this weekend? Forecast looks good for Saturday and the water temps are coming up. We generally put in on Middle River, but I'm considering trying Sandy Point and checking out the Annapolis / Kent Island region. Any recommendations on dockside restaurants, places to tube / swim, sights to see, etc.
