It was strung from a big tree to port as you are entering Lloyd's. I've gone off of it more than a few times and I can tell you that it is not for the faint of heart or weak of arm. The problem seems to be mostly beer muscles or over-estimation of ones ability to carry one's own body weight. Shame a few thoughtless people once again bring the spotlight to everybody.

Anybody catchin any crabs south of Heart Miller Island or a little further south? Any good spots?

I'm planning on going down this weekend and it would be nice to catch a few for a picnic I'm going to Sunday.

Thanks in advance,
Austin

Utschs marina was a great place we stayed for 3 days over labor day weekend they were so friendly and we will do again next year. left Triton and just a slow cruise took about 5 hours at a fuel saving 10 knots or so and grabbed an additional 2 knot tide down the Delaware bay following the tide.

A bunch of the boaters who frequent the Upper Chesapeake are having a last run of the season tomorrow, October 14. Some of us are meeting in Northeast and others are meeting near Turkey Point around 11am.

Come on out and join the fun! It'll be fairly warm but the wind and seas may be up.

Just got the boat ready to ride out the storm. Went out and doubled up the lines on the leeward side, and tripled them on the windward side. Also tied each rope to 2 cleats, in case a cleat breaks.

I took the motor off, just so i won't loose that, its worth more than the boat.

Those of us in Havre De Grace made it through well today. We really missed the brunt of it. No damage to the 4 of us that keep our boats slipped in the City Yacht Basin. The water was blown out of the upper bay leading into the storm and then it all came back in later. With the southern wind and the flood water coming down form PA and NY, its been high for the last few days. All in all, it wasn't nearly as bad as it could have been.

Our thoughts are going out to those in NJ and NY that really got hit bad. I was on facebook with dbreskin last night, he said they lost power on Monday the 29th and the hope to have it back by the 9th. Hope everyone over there on the coast makes it through okay.

I'm heading up to CT on sunday for 2 weeks, to help with the tree work up there. I work for a tree trimming company, and they are sending 6 of us up to their CT office.

Ouch, snags and widow-makers! Be safe and good luck, here north of DC, I didn't lose power. The Derecho did way more damage here. Good luck to all getting over this.

What happened to this thread? It used to be popular.
Two things: The most active member (Skargo) got banned and iBoats withdrew support for mobile device application support (Tapatalk).

There are now a few upper Chesapeake Facebook groups; you can search for them. The banned member started one of them.

Sunset cove is a hoppin place, soooooo many hotties, and red necks on the dock in lawn chairs, just relaxin next to thier boats.
