Re: Boat Names

Bought a blue/white 86 Bayliner 18' bass boat this summer, and working on a name.. here are some of our ideas...

Blue Me
Fish-R-Safe
Sinkable (on one of first test floats I put plug in, but live well hoses were open into bilge...lots of water.. but did not sink)
Passin' bass

I'm leaning toward "Passin' bass" myself...

Re: Boat Names

We named our boat Gale Force... Gale was my mother mother's name who passed away just before we picked up our 1st boat. She loved adventures and now she gets to share in ours again.

Re: Boat Names

I'm almost done restoring my 1995 24' Fisher pontoon. We were looking for a pontoon for a cheap price that we could fix up. We got a decent deal on this one, and started fixing it up. The more we looked, the more we found that needed to be fixed - starting with rebunking the trailer, then stripping the deck down to the bare wood and building it back up from there. Since we pretty much raised this thing from the dead, we've chosen the name 'Lazarus'.

Re: Boat Names

When on holidays last year on lake Okanagan in B.C. saw a couple of names that caught my eye. 1st one I think was on a 40+ foot Fountain with three engines called "Tripped Out" the second on a ski boat called "Bite Me" talked to the owner who turns out loves bulldogs and is a dentist.
Growing up I had a friend who had a boat called "Bull Dog" and the call sign of the cabin was "Dog House"

Re: Boat Names

My first boat was called "Boogeyman 1". Don't ask me why as I have no dancing skills at all, the boat only had a 3.0L so it wasn't that fast, and I'm really not that scary. So yeah...not sure about that one aside I just liked the sound of it.

The new boat that we'll be picking up here shortly will be named "Tahoe Dreams". My wife used to live up there before we met and she has aspirations of moving back. So that's where that one came from.

Not long ago I saw a home built 19' hovercraft with "Hurricane Smith" painted on the back of it.
When I talked with the owner he said it was both a NAME & WARNING. :D

Re: Boat Names

My new to me boat was a trade for a cargo trailer. So in respect for the trailer which provided us with years of loyal service, and since it fits so well the name will be "Royal Cargo". Not because we are Royals, but the trailer was a Royal Cargo trailer.

Well my wife came home last night from work and told me she had the perfect name for the boat, which we haven't applied any name yet.
It is Whalendowed. I like it. I think it is it's new name.
