Re: Boat Names

I have to tell you all that I named my boat the "Patty Marie" and let me tell you why. I had always wanted a boat but I didnt know anything about boats and because of a disability I cant swim. So never thought about getting until around Christmas a friend of ours was selling this 14 foot 1961 Glasspar that had been a one owner boat and was in great condition. I knew my wife Patty (Marie) would try and veto getting it even though she loves boating saying its a waste of money and blah, blah well you know I bought it ,put in the Garage and had "The Patty Marie" painted on it,wrapped a big bow on it and gave it to her for Chrismas (Because I had spent all of my holiday money on this boat). She loved it and now we take it out all the time and are talking about getting a bigger boat.

Re: Boat Names

My 1984 Avanti 170 was named "Ship Happens". The 2002 SeaRay was named "Cheeseheads in Paradise" when I moved to Florida. Now the 1988 Cruisers Rogue 2420 is named "Rock'n Along" after finding the only rock in Sand Bay.

Re: Boat Names

Our first boat a 12 foot sears dingy with a Minn Kota electric motor  is named Unsinkable. It is named that because no matter if we have 4 people or 3 big guys plus fishing gear and batteries she never took on water. Our "new" boat a 1969 glastron v153 will be named "family tyes" or "just peachy" (My grandfather always says when ask how he is, says just peachy.)

A friends boatt was named What the fluke, always thought that was cool

Re: Boat Names

Good timing on the thread, just got my vinyl name in the mail and applied two days ago. 20ft Bayliner Capri 5.0l V8 wakeboard and tubing party machine properly named "Cirrhosis of the River"!

Re: Boat Names

When we lived on the Chesapeake, there was a boat next to us "Carol Said I Could." Another one in the same marina "Cha-Ching, Cha-Ching"

Re: Boat Names

Well, "Bottoms Up'" and "On The Rocks" is out ...... unless you want people judging your driving skills!
:D
Just got my first boat, a 1989 Bayliner Capri and since Im a bartender am trying to incorporate that into the boats name without being too obvious. So far Ive come up with:

Bottoms Up
On The Rocks
Rum Runner
Last Call
and
Intoxicologist

Which ones do you like the best?
