That should read a "batted ball." If it's a thrown ball I'm guessing it's up to the umpire to decide whether or not he's out by interference.<br /><br />It also includes the batter, and the bat if it's still in his hands, as when a bunt rebounds & hits him, if the batter has moved inside the line.
