Some of you know me. Some of you I have upset. <br />What you have done for the UK in the terrrible years of the last great war we ( I hope to speak for our nation ) are ever greatfull.<br />There is however a grey area.<br />In Europe the majority of the public see the gun toting Bush more of a threat to world peace than Saddam?<br /><br />You have a great country but greatness is graded by past actions and not current. AKA H.Nelson.<br /><br />So answers please to this.<br /><br />Do you think you could win this terrorist thing without Europe?

I think we can win the conflict, but not the war. We will stand alone. While I too think Bush should in a way tone down his rhetoric sometimes, the fact of the matter is Saddam has defied every resolution the UN has put out. If the UN does not do something about this, it should cease to exist. I believe we should not act without the UN. <br /><br />I also wish everyone would see the tape of the dead Kurds that Saddam gassed. I also wish the world would see the tape of Saddam announcing the traitors to his cause and removing them from the room. The look in their eyes of people that did not come back. The world should have done something about Saddam when he used weapons of mass destruction against the Kurds.<br /><br />One more thing. The world can wait until Saddam strikes or more likely employs agents that will strike on his behalf so it will not be traced, but when the bomb hits the US, or some of it's interests outside the US, then everyone else will be stuck with the fallout, literally.

Well there he is! I was wondering what happened to you.<br />To answer your questions again, <br />"Do you think you could win this terrorist thing without Europe?"<br /> <br />We will win through, no matter what. This is a war. Unlike Bosnia, Vietnam, Korea, or other police action, we are not trying to protect UK, or any other nation from terrorism. Regardless, all other nations pagued by these sick creatures will benifit from our resolve, and thier help is strongly desired. <br />But America will not stand idle. I don't even expect our military will delay after this recent doccument-dump from Iraq. I personally hope they don't,as American military lives are the only ones who will suffer the delays.<br />Our concerne to what other nations as a whole think of our actions is secondary to our resolve in this matter. Others nations, regardless of thier contributions, or lack thereof, will surely benifit from the absence of mutants.Our freedoms sometimes limit us. It's hard to believe, but we have rules of engagement. This, allong with the "proof of WMD" that the rest of the world demands will be forthcomming, but you,as other foriegners, regardless of nationality, can't know, until the time is right. Nobody gives thier hand away in poker, chess or war. And this is no game.<br />Stand by.

Personally I think that if it came down to it we could do whatever we wanted with or without the rest of the world's permission. Trust me this country has got some things that most other countries just dream of having and that is just the stuff we all know about. If you got into black opps, special projects and top secrete stuff we could kick A and take names without many looses at all.

Howdy, Mercey.<br /><br />I see Iraq and Al Qaeda as different issues.<br /><br />Al Qaeda: Do you propose to wait until they flatten Windsor Castle? This war has been "on" for years. We didn't start it.<br /><br />Iraq: So far, our President's sword rattling has gotten Saddam's attention and caused him to back off some of his WORLD-defying bluster. If he continues to lie, and to defy the WORLD he needs to be displaced. If it requires war, then war it will be.<br /><br />I would not see that as a war that we started, either. An unfinished war in Europe in 1918 left us with the need to get into a much bigger and deadlier war twenty years on. There was immense pressure from the public to leave Hitler alone in the naive notion that he would leave his neighbors alone. What did that get us?<br /><br />Saddam was put on probation in 1991. He has violated that probation in every way he can, short of invading neighbors again. The UN (The WORLD) has a responsibility, as 12Footer said, to enforce it's resolutions.<br /><br />If we must be the WORLD's police force and do the dirty work for Europe, we will. But I think true friends of world peace will do their duty, too.

And this brings up a question I wish Mercy or someone would answer.<br />Why is it that we lose all those lives in the assaults of 9/11/01, and somehow, We deserve it ,or we caused this.??<br />No, I insist that terrorism, while allways a meathod of waging war, is now as dastardly as a flock of zeros in 1941, or sinking a oceanliner in 1918 were!<br />The botton line is, it will not stand.<br />But I am very curious as to why "the rest of the world" demands any form of "proof" or "Compliance" from the US?<br />Anyone?

Despite our occasional differences, I think that most of us will agree that the only true friends we have in the world are the British and the Canadians. I've served alongside soldiers from both countries and found that we had a lot more in common than we had differences. I hope that we will all join together in eradicating anyone who terrorizes any of our countries.

There never was news coverage of 9-11 from a particular slant. The slant being that by leveling the Trade Towers, a symbol of American success, the terrorists also eliminated hundreds upon hundreds of Jews. We are in this war where we are backing Israel and the terrorists are backing the Palestenians in their conflict with Israel. The Palestenians never left the region and can't become a state. The Jews wandered Europe for 2000 years only to return after WWII to form their state of Israel. Israel is not at war... MAYBE we need a Cyprus style settlement to the Israel-Palestine conflict in order to have PEACE.

As a canadian I thank God for our strong freinds from the south. Many of us to the north are ashamed of our current goverments handling of this crissis, We think highly of president Bush's<br />handling & strong stand against terrorists.<br />Iraq must disarm,or be disarmed. the free world<br />will never be able to sleep comfortabley with Saddams ambitions and twisted mourels. Islam<br />once thought to be peaceful, now appearse to be the crowning work of the Devil.<br />Germany what a short memory you have, bury your head in the sand! I would be ashamed if i lived there too! We must stand up against all terrorism regardles of their origination. I want my children to live in peace and understanding and tolerance.If we have to fight for it,then so be it!! OUR FATHERS FOUGHT FOR IT. Something happend to the United States. Bankers and other big money bought the politicians and law makers (lawyers). They've sold thier souls, our souls, and the Constitution solely to those big money interests. Those same corrupt politicians (lawyers) colluded with all the other worlds corrupt politicians. In the name of the same Constitution that was sold out, and god, we stuck our nose in much of the worlds affairs. Had we done this with genuine fairness, compassion and rightiousness as this Country and its Constitution originally portrayed, most all would be fine. Instead our politicians (lawyers) were part of brokering many foul deeds and hypocrisies.<br />While the governments of the world are corrupt. The instant I saw the planes damage to the World Trade Centre I & II I remember thinking, "My God this is terrible", then the news showed the damage of aircraft flying into the Pentagon along with the heroic attitude shown by the passengers and crew of the ill fated flight that didn't reach it's target.<br />I didn't think, how or who at all. I just thought this was horrid.<br />As time went by the media informed us of the Al Queda network and Osama Bin Laden. Now I don't profess to be up to date with all world news but this one was, "out there", as we say.<br />As time has progressed there has been shown to be an organised, progressive, professional series of well planned attacks against the free world at large. No disrespect to the people of the USA, but the world too has had this terrorist anger leveled against it.<br />The world waited for Adolf Hitler to show his hand, long after the Jews were being systematically destroyed. The world waited for Slobadon Maloshivich (esc spelling) to show his hand after his empire started slaughtering folk.<br />This time there appears to be ample motivation to stop a tyrant. He has, as noted, already killed his own countrymen. Hell he even slaughtered members of his own extended family. <br />Why would we trust Him?<br />I don't like war at all. I don't like to see our friends loose family members to any conflict.<br />I think however that an attack is immiment and that the leadership of Iraq must be passed back to the people for a democratic system to be re-established.<br />It has worked following Malosovich!<br />It would work again. Do they really think Saddam is a peace loving citizen of this world? Maybe they should take the time to do some basic research - I'm embarrassed for them.<br /><br />Thank god for the USA and other countries who are willing to fight the terrorists of this world...<br /><br />...and thank god we don't have to rely on Europe for world security.<br /><br />Just my 2 cents worth.
